Ernesto Alterio's character is named "Tísico" by his boss Rediú. Tísico is the Spanish word for "phthisic", a common word in those times to indicate a person suffering tuberculosis.
The film's Spanish title, 'La sombra de la ley', means The shadow of the law.
Rediú calls "Vasco" to Uriarte all the times. Vasco is the Spanish word for Basque, indicating that he was born in Basque Country (north to Spain).
