Dhanashree is a beautiful girl who leads a lavish lifestyle and is in love with a smart, intelligent guy; Dinanath. However, Dinanath is bogged down by his own responsibilities; a handicapped father, a sister who has lost her mental balance since her husband left her, and an old grandmother. Dinanath wants a wife who can share his burden of responsibilities, but he knows Dhanashree is not someone who can take the responsibility. Dinanath marries Pallavi and works as a professor in a college. Jaysingh, a friend of Dinanath and Dhanashree is a happy go lucky chap. He is aware of the fact that Dhanashree is in love with Dinanath but will not marry her. He knows that Dhanashree wishes for a wealthy lifestyle, so he returns to her life, now a wealthy man. When Dinanath marries Pallavi, Dhanashree considers it an insult to her beauty and tells Dinanath that she will self destruct in front of his eyes. She marries the rich Jaisingh as vengeance against Dinanath. As the years pass, Dhanashree realizes that Jaisingh cannot make her happy and becomes self destructive, drowning in alcoholism; partying and often in the arms of random wealthy men. She meets a wealthy man Rajatsheth and completely distances herself from Jaisingh. Unable to bear this, Jaisingh goes to Dinanath to save his marriage. Can Dina save Jaisingh's marriage? In the end we realize that everything is uncertain and hanging in limbo.
