Sharp As a Razor (2017)
*** (out of 4)
This ten-minute featurette is an interview with make-up artist Franco Casagni who discusses his work on Dario Argento's THE STENDHAL SYNDROME. If you're a fan of the film or of Casagni then you should enjoy this piece as he talks about a wide range of subjects including what it was like working with the cinematographer on the picture, someone he had met years earlier on another film. From here he gets into the main effects he did on one of the victims as he had to create a gouged out eye as well as determining how much blood to use. It's fascinating but Casagni says that it's Argento who wants to control the amount of blood and he even prefers to put it on the actors. There's certainly nothing ground-breaking to be found here but fans should enjoy the behind-the-scenes stories.
