The original script by Alex Wesley was very different from the final film. It was originally about a guy living in a post-apocalyptic world who falls in love with a woman's corpse. He talks with her and lives with her while slowly going crazy. After finally losing his mind, he sleeps with the corpse which causes his own body to melt away because of the contaminates inside the corpse. The film would then end with cyborgs arriving to look at the remains of the man. Alex felt that the idea was silly and so rewrote the script quickly at the last minute into the film that was made.
The mask used for Mutant #1 is the same mask used for the Freak in Alex Wesley's film Freak in the Basement (2018).
Richie Mallen was originally cast to play the role of the 'Queen of the Cyborgs'. However, Mallen's unprofessional and disrespectful behavior became too much for director Alex Wesley, he had forgiven her many times on several of his films but this time he had no other choice but to fire her.
After Richie Mallen was fired from the film, director Alex Wesley decided not to find another actress for the Queen of the Cyborgs role, he instead replaced the Queen character with another Cyborg Mutant.
The mask used for one of the Cyborg Mutants is the same mask worn by the Mutilator in Alex Wesley's film Mutilator from the Grave (2015). The use of the mask wasn't planned, it was a spontaneous decision after filming was complete to include a scene with it.
