Both Main Characters Have Very Complimenting Names To Each Other. The Boy's Name Means "Spring Tree" And The Girl's Name Means "Cherry blossom".
Based on a novel by the Japanese writer Yoru Sumino. Initially serialized as a web novel in the user-generated site Shosetsuka ni Narou in 2014, the book was published in print in 2015 by Futabasha.
This movie has a similar theme to Nicholas Sparks 1999 novel "A Walk to Remember" It was made into a film of the same name in 2002 starring Mandy Moore and Shane West as the main characters.
