Michael McDonald: Sweet Freedom

A fine superb music by Michael McDonald, the video for "Sweet Freedom" presents the artist performing the song and playing the keyboards inside of a crowded bad filled with well humored patrons and in between those moments there are countless clips from the buddy movie "Running Scared" starring Billy Crystal and Gregory Hines, of which this was part of the theme soundtrack. It's all in good spirits and lovely humor, which makes of this a fine soundtrack video. My only disappointment is that this was the radio version of the song rather than the extended version, which is pure perfection due to its magnificent and exciting instrumental that seems to go forever with McDonald and backing vocals shouting the song title. But it's understandable because an 8-minute song would never get much of an airplay on TV, specially in those days unless if you had a backstory to present. Anyway, this is still one of the artists' greatest moments and a classic music favorite of mine. 8/10.

The soft rock soul of the band singer Michael McDonald of his 💘 love ballad Sweet Freedom was a absolute favorite of mine. In childhood I admired his work. I loved him starting at about 3 yrs old ongoing, seeing his 🎶 music in concerts, and interviews, and rock music of the 📻 radio. As a adult his work is still 👍 good! Michael likes to tour 🌎 world's wide to promote his hit Sweet Freedom.
