Lazy filmmaking at its worst. Derek Savage filmed a couple of new scenes to justify charging people twice for the same 'movie', which in itself was cobbled together from shorts. A Frankenstein failure of film.
It's not cool to rip off kids Cool Cat.

Where do i begin... just because this isn't even worth a long review i'll say this. Avoid this if you want your child to keep his brain cell's.
This movie is bad. Very, very bad. Here is the story of how a movie as sloppy and lazy as this came to be: Basically, the creator of the Cool Cat character, Derek Savage, created 3 shorts about this character back in the early 2010's about anti-bullying, what to do if you find a gun, and other kid friendly subjects as well one just being a video recording the time he bought himself into a Hollywood parade, which he cut together into a 'movie' and attempted to make people pay for? The other 2 shorts are innocent enough focusing just on this kids character teaching inspirational lessons to kids, but there are a few issues. Primarily, Derek Savage is clueless in both film making and has a sub-average knowledge in the subjects he's trying to teach. The result? 3 remarkably amateur shorts that come off more as home videos with a plot, featuring a horrendously lazy script (which clearly never made it to a second draft), presumably the first take of every scene they filmed with numerous shots containing major mistakes which they never bothered to fix, what appears to be no lighting or color correction or any alterations made in post production except for green screens and stock sparkle effects, Derek essentially just showing off at multiple points (especially in the Hollywood parade short which only exists so he can gloat about it), plenty of bad advice for kids combined with horribly conveyed decent advice that makes it clear every lesson in this movie Derek came up off the top of his head. So yeah, they're terrible. Then Derek Savage had the bright idea of making a Cool Cat movie. But instead of making an actual original film, he just filmed a few new connective scenes with the actors and then used them to edit all the shorts together into a feature length movie called Cool Cat Saves The Kids in 2015. This movie is just as good as the shorts before, but with the added addition of a sloppy plot that jumps all over the place with truly awful pacing and confusing sequence of events, as well as pointless B plots that go nowhere and do nothing. Derek, however, believed that his shorts/movie were all actual masterpieces surpassing actual, real Hollywood movies because his big ego caused him to regard his own works in super high esteem. And it doesn't help that he has a whole fanbase of teens and adults who follow him ironically and treat his films like masterpieces because he's too ignorant to realize they're joking. Derek, falsely believing that Cool Cat was now an ongoing series, decides that he wants to go even bigger with his new film, and reach a larger audience, get a theatrical release, and possibly even get it onto streaming services like Netflix. But of course he's too lazy to actually make another movie, so he records about 1 day of additional scenes and then recuts Cool Cat Saves The Kids into what is essentially a directors cut, retitles it, and then attempts to pass it off as a new movie so he can benefit from a new release without actually making another movie. And that is how Cool Cat Kids Superhero was made and became the next in a long series of the same movie. Most of this movie is just 2012/2013 footage being sold off for the third time, and every aspect of it is painfully lazy and amateur since Derek is too narcissistic to realize he needs to improve. The only people who will enjoy this movie are mature audiences who can enjoy it for the cringey laughs, or really little kids who don't grasp the concept of good and bad movies and will take whatever you give them. But with the poorly done messages in this movie, they shouldn't watch it anyways.
This is nothing more than "Cool Cat Saves the Kids" but with a couple extra scenes added in.
Unless you're really into Cool Cat or Daddy Derek and feel you need to own everything Cool Cat related, give this one a pass.

This must be the director himself boosting his ratings for a movie he's made twice now. Wrongful movie
Back in the 80's those arcade games used to have this Captain America anti-drug campaign message spread throughout them even Wrath of the Black Manta spoke his piece about positive action and had a hatred for drugs and the like. Then this safety awareness/bullying movie comes along in the same vein with some short-haired neon orange cat in a costume, who's self-absorbed in its own importance and loud brash behaviour, spreading some watered-down outdated message on positive action most likely targeted at leafy suburbanites who have white picket fences? Talk about Cool Cat overload. It suffocates you. It's in every scene. It's annoying and pretentious and I'm guessing it consumes over 50 energy drinks a day - you know the ones - and it most likely suffers from ADHD but that's problematic and just an educated guess on my part. I have the attention span of a moth and was annoyed within 5 minutes of this transparent atrocity - their cookie cutter existence offended me! If only life was as phony as this gimmick of a movie! Is anyone really like The Tanners from Full House with their fakery? It's artificial and not organic! Oh, you have writer's block, do you Cool Cat? Here, let me help you there - Trolley the Trout swam upstream and was captured by some ninjas. He was beheaded, resurrected, died twice and was skinned & eaten alive the second time around. This movie is just another form of mind control - like Santa Claus - designed to lead children astray with a hypocritical P.O.V. by so-called adults. (I love how the director's last production has a marijuana leaf on the cover. Might explain his mindset?) When children are much older in their later years they'll see through this transparent hooey. There is however one redeeming factor in all this.... if Derek Savage were to hook up with Tommy Wiseau; Neil Breen, whoever the director of Birdemic was and the director of After Last Season and made a mashup movie of them, and Cool Cat, together there may be forgiveness. Make it happen today, Hollywood! It'd be a number one smash at the box office. I'd go and see it.

Umm...it's really bad? Like, it's disjointed, there are technical errors all over the place, the acting is terrible, and it is just extremely cheap. It isn't even a new movie, technically. It's the last movie, Cool Cat Saves the Kids (which in itself was just put together from a series of short films), with a few extra scenes and some George Lucas-style edits, most of which seem to have been made in direct response to Your Movie Sucks' review of the film, which is hilarious. Could you imagine if Rian Johnson went back and re-edited The Last Jedi because of a particular bad review? So yeah, this movie sucks, but it's so bad it's actually really funny. I really enjoyed it! I couldn't sleep afterward and Cool Cat was in my dreams but I still enjoyed it! Buy the DVD on eBay! I actually got two in the mail because Derek Savage the director accidentally double-mailed my order. He said I can keep it. Great! It came with one of the Cool Cat books and a keychain too! Very good package, highly recommended! Go watch it now with a few drunk friends! You'll be in for a wild night.
This is kind of a deluxe version of Cool Cat Saves the Kids. Out of context, the movie might be confusing. The book is a better visualization because of the editing of the movie itself due to the transition of an author to a movie creator. If you already watched the other similar movies, skip. It's mostly the same. DO NOT look at the website unsupervised. Inappropriate stuff next to kids content, unless you are old enough or know better. Please if you are a parent, teach your kids stuff and buy the book before watching this movie.

Cool Cat's other films were really great, but this one spoke to me in a personal level. In Elementary, Fourth grade to be exact, I too was bullied, but by the 5th graders. I wish I had a superhero that would come in and save the day like Cool Cat. Him rescuing those kids from danger and from bullies was amazing and inspirational to all of the kids that were bullied alongside me. We still hang out to this day, and watching this movie made all of us feel better when we saw Cool Cat. Cool Cat is the hero the world desperately needs, but doesn't deserve. If Derek Savage can continue with these great masterpieces of his, that would be great because that whats keeping our friendship alive. Although, all those other comments seem to not understand what it's like to be bullied as a child, being helpless against the elder kids. I too hope to be a giant cat running around saving the day for all the other kids of the neighborhood.

This movie really speaks to me as a person who was bullied as a kid. Cool cat really shows me that I need to stand up to bullies and not hang with them because they are the wrong crowd. People who think its a bad movie. You guys just don't understand. I have purchased this movie on HD and best $8.99 I have ever invested.
Thanks Derek Savage for making a work of art.

Cool Cat: The Kids Superhero is a masterpiece. The director: Derek Savage is clearly the greatest film director of all time. Forget Steven Speilburg, Stanley Kubrick, Alfred Hitchcock, all of them. Because Savage is a true original. Cool Cat is about a cat named Cool Cat. Cool Cat is the most popular kid in his school, because he loves all kids. ALL OF THEM. But a kid named Butch The Bully doesn't like him, or any of the kids. So, he does horrible things, like make prank phone calls, graffiti on walls, steal candy from babies, and brings a gun to school. But Cool Cat saves the kids from him. He also gets the help from famous Hollywood movie stars Vivica A Fox and Erik Estrada, and the police to stop Butch. This movie also has great songs, like Cool Cat Rap Master, Cool Cat Loves to Rock and Roll, and Boogie Woogie Time. The Rap Master song and Boogie Woogie time are rap songs, and Rock and Roll is, of course, a rock song. I used to be fans of rappers like Eminem, 50 Cent, Dr Dre, and Snoop Dogg, and rock bands like Led Zeppelin, Metalica, Green Day, and The Rolling Stone. But Cool Cat and Derek Savage are music GODS. Now overall, I would rate Cool Cat: The Kids Superhero a 10/10. Dont listen to the haters like I Hate Everything and Your Movie Sucks, those punk troll. This is a MASTERPIECE.
Simply Art. Oscar Oscar Oscar. But the Oscars are run by hacks and Disney who only want there films to win. 420 Award then. Deep Deep Movie with a beautiful plot!.
