Jyugo learns of a woman visiting the prison, so Cell 13 breaks out of their cell to find her.

Jyugo escapes his cell for the prison guards' room because he can't sleep. Cell 13 are put to work in the woodworking shop, but screw up their assignments.

Cell 13 gets a new prisoner: No 99, Tsukomo the ninja.

The New Year Joint Cooperation Tournament begins, where prisoners and guards from each building compete with each other.

The Tournament continues.

Jyugo faces off with Musashi, a blind pyrokinetic warrior. Musashi brings up a man from Jyugo's past, which sends Jyugo on a rampage.

Mitsuru Hitokoe takes a break in the Tournament to tell the tragic tale of Tsukumo.

Hajime goes after Jyugo who is too berserk to be calmed down.

In the aftermath of the Tournament, Musashi and Jyugo discuss their common misfortunes and Hajime accuses Jyugo of having no desire and tries to motivate him by allowing him whatever he wants.

Officer Hajime is suspended for beating up Jyugo, so in his place three other officers are put in charge of Cell 13: Kenshirou Yozakura, Samon Gokuu and Kiji Mitsuba.

Everyone reconciles with each other.

Uno builds up a game room to give the prisoners some fun. Jyugo gets shocked by the appearance of Elf, the sadist from his past.

Elf briefly attacks Jyugo and threatens Nanba. Jyugo attempts to escape Nanba for ever to protect his home and friends, but Officer Hajime stands in his way.
