John Berardo came up with the initial reflective design of the mask so the killer's victims could see a reflection of themselves before they die. Brian Frager's uncle, Stan Dufek, a former Disney Imagineer, took the design and created the final mask.
The movie was shot in 16 days. Editor, Kristina Lyons, cut the movie in 10 weeks.
The role of Sandra Fitzgerald was originally a male character, but the filmmakers changed it after Casting Director, Ricki Maslar, suggested Yancy Butler for the role.
