The score may be generous. I've seen the leads in other roles before, but their acting was far better. The biggest issue I had with this movie was that the background music NEVER seems to stop....and I mean never. Every bit of dialogue in this movie, is done over music.
So, bad acting, weak story, constant dialogue over music, and gthis is a less than stellar 90 minutes.

This movie was all over the place. Another runaway bride movie with some extra and somewhat useless characters thrown in just to make it more messy.
The lead actress could not be more drab. Totally phoning in her performance. No connection between her and the two male characters who are both romantically involved with her. It really did not matter who she ended up with because the story was dumb.

I'm honestly not sure if this was supposed to be a parody or not. We couldn't even make it through the whole thing, we kept having to fast forward it. It was so strangely filmed, the effects to try and fake snow in some scenes were very distracting, and it was extremely over acted. I love cheesy Christmas films, but this was just awkward to watch. Quite a disappointment!

Everyone has touched on the acting and the writing. I will give my two cents on the filming. There is a scene where Kate is knocking on the door asking for forgiveness from the one she loves. You can see the cameraman's reflection. At first I couldn't make out the image, until the third shot. Santa takes her down the hill in a horse drawn sled. The overhead shot is obviously computer animated, repetitive, and jumpy (think playing the computer game Oregon trail). When they show a close up shot, the reigns are not taut, he has no obvious control. There is a scene where Travis is having a talk with his dad. From the camera angles, it appears that Travis isn't even looking at his dad. Bottomline....bad bad bad.
I am absolutely shocked that Cindy Busby, Travis Milne and Fiona Vroom were associated with this movie. There isn't one thing good that I can say about this disaster.
First one to give this one a review, I notice. It was probably because I just watched it on the night of its premier (9 Dec 2017). It's only a bit 'ho hum', but it has its uniqueness to it, like the plot/story line. Unfortunately this played on the ION channel which is not in high definition. That's the bummer part, so the film quality was obvious. I like my hi-Def! Spoiled here, I guess. Some day I will see it this way too. It's good for one viewing in sub-par quality and one in real good quality at a later date.
Very lousy movie on so many levels. The acting is terrible. Except for the leading lady, whom is actually pretty good, the others act cold and are reading a script. there is NO passion or credibility. There is NO chemistry between any of the characters, as a matter of fact it seems like they don't even like each other. The guy that plays the part of the olympic skier wannabe is a cold, unconvincing dead fish. Totally unbelievable. here are multiple errors and sub-standard CGI imagery. The directing is horrible. the plot is weak.

This movie is awful. Hands down, it is terribly written, the visuals are garbage, the acting is awful, and the main character is entierly unlikeable. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Even if you enjoy a hallmark or lifetime Christmas film unironically, you will still probably see that "Runaway Christmas" Bride is way worse. However its hilarious to watch this dumpster fire unfold.
My only complaints are that it can get very slow at times, and the camerawork made me feel physically ill.
If you decide to watch this movie, do it with a group so you can talk over the slow parts and laugh at the bad together. I would also recomend, trying to find the cameraman in as many shots as possible.

Typical of too many Hallmark movies that use the word Christmas in the title but lack any Christmas magic that we expect from a Christmas movie. In this case the acting is almost as bad as the writing and the lack of directing. All in all, just a lazy piece of waste from the network. Don't waste your time on this one

Didn't notice the bad sound at the beginning, but after the first third or half, OMG it was hard to hear the dialogue due to the music! The same with the plot. Early on it was engaging, but kinda fizzled.

This movie was hysterically bad. The acting was bad, the story was bad, the filming was bad. The background music overpowered the actor's voices. I had to watch with the captions on. Some parts were so ridiculously funny, we were in tears. I consider it a feat of strength that I managed to watch through the end.

Trite, overacted, predictable. Fake effects to the max. Odd camera angles. Not heartwarming. Skip, there are better choices.

Why bother? So cheesy. Can't even watch. Predictable, bad acting, stupid story.
12/2020 Update: I guess I forgot I watched this before. I lowered the rating. Cindy Busby is a horrible actress. Every time I see Travis Milne, I think he's still the criminal ghost on Saving Hope. Still an awful movie. I'll remember NOT to watch again.

I can understand why this movie has bad reviews. Every element of this movie is extremely flawed in typically unforgivable ways, but the last 30 minutes of this movie are great as a stand alone absurdist comedy sequence.
I started watching right before the "climax," where all the romantic entanglements are revealed to all of the main characters. I can say with confidence that I missed absolutely nothing by avoiding the first hour of this movie. All of the plot is very explicitly described in a very amusing 3 minutes while a few of the characters are arguing. The conclusion of the film continues with more absurd sequences and lines that will have you sharing looks of disbelief with whoever is lucky enough to watch this film with you.
Seriously everything about this movie is so bizarre and it was really fun to watch the end of it.

The plot is flimsy and the acting is awful. TRavis Milne is fun to look at but this guy is terrible. The scene in the dispensary is evidence that this guy can't act and I was wondering what she was thinking during the filming of it. Wait. She can't act either.
Whoever told the producers that music over dialogue was a good thing? Especially stupid Christmas music. To the point where it's so loud it drowns out the dialogue.
In the end how can anybody having anything to do with this thing look on it and say, we did good?
Who writes this stuff? It's Christmas Eve and my holiday is ruined.
The special effects or something out of the 50s, very bad. Very bad acting and if you can hear what they're saying over the music you have better ears than I do.

That is over an hour of my life I will never get back. The acting was horrible. I love a lot of Hallmark movies but this is exactly what my son was talking about worst acting ever!

This was my 3rd christmas movie for my 100 christmas movies before Christmas challenge and I watched it on Sony movies Christmas.
It was an alright movie but it didn't give me that christmas feeling, the warm happy, feel good feeling I like to get from christmas movies.
It isn't something I will watch again.

This was quite terrible. I love watching the actress Cindy Busby. She is one of those Hallmark/Lifetime movie actresses always made for TV movies and she's quite great at that that is her wheelhouse! However, this movie was terrible! From the camera angles, the inability to act, the lighting, and the hair and make up. They just could not get anything to work other than the actress, Cindy Busby. She is the MVP carrying the entire production. The story could have worked, but the character who played Kate's father, and that gerbil that he wore on his head. I just could not watch this movie, knowing that he was paid to appear in a made for TV movie. This kind of makes me feel really bad for Cindy Busby, having to add this film to her IMDb roster. Please save yourself the time and do not watch this film, actually film seems to be to an high a word for this "student film."Unless you want to play a Drinking game, where you make fun of everyone who is unable to act in a scene or whenever Kate's father appears on screen wearing that gerbil on his head.
