Danish songwriter Vingard has crafted her unique take on Americana music. On Friday, she will release her new single, “House On The Hill.”
When does vulnerability transform into strength? This pressing question lies at the heart of Vingard’s latest single, “House on the Hill.”
With “House On The Hill,” Vingard invites her audience into a heartwarming narrative that delves into themes of courage, vulnerability, and hope. The song speaks to the daring act of letting go of fear and stepping into the unknown, trusting that love and genuine connection can build a strong foundation.
Last September, the charming singer released her debut album, “In The Long Run,” which was met with great success. She has since been nominated for “New Roots Artist of the Year” at the Danish Music Awards, cementing her status as one of the most promising names in the Danish roots scene.

Idris Elba might be a big name in Hollywood, but there are many strings to the 47 year-old’s bow. As well as being a world-famous actor, he’s also a DJ and musician that founded his own record label, the creator of British sitcom In the Long Run and Netflix’s recently-canceled Turn Up Charlie, made his feature directorial debut with 2018’s Yardie and even won a professional kickboxing fight in 2016.
Despite playing a featured role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the Thor franchise’s Heimdall and starring in box office hits like Prometheus, Pacific Rim, Zootopia, The Jungle Book, Finding Dory, Star Trek Beyond and Hobbs & Shaw, the defining role of Elba’s entire career is still arguably that of Detective Chief Inspector John Luther in the BBC’s acclaimed crime drama Luther.

British star Idris Elba advocated that racism in film and TV shows should be no different from sexism, with a rating system to warn viewers of racist viewpoints.
“That’s why we have a rating system: We tell you that this particular content is rated U, PG, 15, 18,” said Elba to the Radio Times. “To mock the truth, you have to know the truth. But to censor racist themes within a show, to pull it – wait a second, I think viewers should know that people made shows like this.”
He continued: “Out of respect for the time and the movement, commissioners and archive-holders pulling things they think are exceptionally tone-deaf at this time – fair enough and good for you. But I think, moving forward, people should know that freedom of speech is accepted, but the audience should know what they’re getting into.”

Last January, BBC crime drama Luther returned for what appears to have been its final season. But that doesn’t necessarily mean we’ve seen the last of its eponymous detective. Leading man Idris Elba remains passionate about getting a Luther movie off the ground and at a press junket for the new season of his Sky comedy In the Long Run, Elba teased that he’s “this close” to bringing the character to the big screen.
“I’ve made it very clear that I’d like to see Luther come back as a film. And I can tell you this, that we are this close to making a film of Luther.”
With the regular series now finished, it’s possible more space has opened up to get a movie made. And if it’s as close to getting green-lit as Elba says it is, we may not be waiting much longer.
