    Slow but Kind of Nice

It has that independent Art film feeling to it... with very nice cinematography along with decent low key acting. I was hoping for more personal life information though-out the film and the ending dropped off for me. The film did leave me wanting more. If it were a series... I would be looking forward to the next episode.

I only missed the pink lake...

The movie centres on Alex (Tommy O'Brien), freshly rejected from a marriage proposal, boarding a flight from LA to Melbourne. He crosses paths with Ronnie (Hannah Lehmann), a woman beginning a journey of her own, scattering her father's ashes along the southernmost edge of Australia. "Road to Perth" is an intimate tale of two people that meet each other at a time of need. You can feel there is something in the air. And after watching this movie, you definitely want to go on the same road trip. The cinematography is just amazing, summarizing the beauty of the Australian road trip like no other. "Road to Perth" will bring you something to think about. I loved the plot. The acting performances of both Tommy O'Brien (Alex) and Hannah Lehmann (Ronnie) were so good that you really had the same feeling, joining them on this road trip.

    such a boring movie

I was waiting to watch this movie from 10 days after downloading , took a time to watch yesterday night, peacefully, but never , in any scene it ddnt got my attention.. any movie if you wanted to connect there should be atlast some emotion.. by badluck this movie never connects with any emotion.. there is no conflicts, no emotion, no strong acting, no magical moments... only boring boring boring scenes all over the movie.. they had a good script in hand, but filled up with completely non interested scenes... apart from these negatives there are some positives like good bgm and some of the songs... dont expect anything than that.

    Lazy film making

OMG what a boring, badly made film. The background music drowned out dialogue, and anyone who watched this movie and wanted to travel to Australia, would soon do a quick U turn.

With a title that included Perth - I would have at least expected the beautiful skyline of Perth shot from across the Swan River to flash into view. It didn't. And yet, this wouldn't have added to the cost of the movie, just the quality. The only scenery I actually enjoyed was the street scene of Quorn. And as for the anticipation for the pink lake, which never actually eventuated. Puleeze. Give the viewer a break. And as for the characters? No charisma. And when someone chucks up, even the most socially challenged of us would ask "You ok?" later. OMG. The worst movie in a season or incredibly bad movies.

    Road to nowhere

Sometimes the reasons why I've chosen this and that movie to watch surprise even myself. When I saw the word "Perth" I immediately got a call back from a long time ago, when I was about 15 and learned this Australia's city. So I clicked on the link, read the premise of the movie and the rest is history. A guy being rejected his marriage proposal is a guy walking in my shoes and I thought this could be a great opportunity to find out how he handled this unpleasant situation.

Turned out the movie is more about traveling than healing, recovering from a traumatizing experience. It wastes too much time on sunsets, roads, sitting there in silence and doing nothing, and has only a few dialogues that really say something. Overall I feel like most of the movie was improvized on the spot rather than having a script and, having seen the same names repeating in the credits I can understand why. This was a personal, dream project of those involved and they had done a fine job in delivering the message of hope for all those who have lost it.

Unfortunately it didn't quite strike me in that way. I was delighted to see some of the man's actions intertwining with my own personal past but in general those were very superficial. His whole trip felt a little off and I couldn't really feel his pain, anger or any other emotions for that matter. So, as a road movie it is a good, solid piece of art, with great scenery, colors and beautiful locations but as a drama of human emotions it is a total miss and a failure.
