Exclusive: Bollywood star Suniel Shetty, who has more than 100 film credits to his name, will make his debut web series with noir action thriller series Invisible Woman.
The project comes from Yoodlee Films, which has been making a name for itself in the Ott space with feature films such as the Netflix hits Axone and Chaman Bahaar. The company said it is eyeing further work in the web series space.
Invisible Woman will star Shetty alongside Esha Gupta. Tamil director Rajesh M. Selva will helm the series. It follows the story of a cop who gets a chance to clean up his past when falsely implicated for the murder of an old woman, but his path to redemption of the soul is littered with physical pain.
“A web series today must have something to set it apart from the barrage of narratives that already exist, and the story of Invisible Woman immediately captured my attention.

Mumbai, March 28 (Ians) Actress Rasika Dugal has always been known for essaying strong characters. However, she says that there was a time when she got bored of playing the same roles.
The actress adds that sometime back she was only offered roles of women who were "morally upright" and she never found them to be very realistic.
"For the longest time, I felt that the kind of roles that I was being offered were morally upright. You don't usually see that in life," she told Ians.
She says that a lot of male writers tend to make the women in their stories very nice.
"A lot of men writing women characters do this disservice. They make the characters very nice. I was a tad bored with it. I was missing complexity. But then, I got several roles that were were different. I am totally enjoying this phase," she says.

?Filmfare awards 2020 is a spiritual awakening for this country?, says Mani Kapoor ?note?d filmmaker and spokesperson of Filmfare awards in an exclusive chat with this author. Excerpts from the conversation.
It?s the morning after the coveted night at Guwahati, as the twitterati are losing their cool and keeping my phone hysterically buzzing with post ranting for what is believed to be the most namakool (ridiculous) award?s night. Zoya Akhtar directed Gully Boy starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt has swept the awards night by bagging best picture, actor, director, and actress etc, leaving the much deserving Uri: The Surgical Strike, Sonchiriya, Hamid, The Tashkent Files, Batla House, and Section 375 way behind in the race. The nonstop vibration on my phone gets interrupted by a ring tone. It?s noted producer Mani Kapoor on the line and is highly elated.
Hello Mani this side, many many congrats he says,...
