Exclusive: Harry Richardson (Poldark) Thomas Cocquerel (Alive) and Jack Gilpin (Billions) are set as series regulars in Julian Fellowes’ The Gilded Age drama series at HBO. The project is a co-production between HBO and Universal TV. The fictional epic of the millionaire titans of New York City in the 1880s hails from the Downton Abbey team of Fellowes, producer Gareth Neame and director Michael Engler. They join previously announced series regulars Christine Baranski, Cynthia Nixon, Amanda Peet, Morgan Spector, Denée Benton, Louisa Jacobson, Taissa Farmiga, Blake Ritson and Simon Jones.

The romantic musical follows singer Maisie and the recollections of how her parents met and fell in love. The love story is soundtracked (released by Warner Music) with re-imaginings of iconic New Zealand songs.
Released theatrically in New Zealand in March, the film has taken more than $1M, making it the most successful local release since The Breaker Upperers. Grammy winner Kimbra plays Maisie, with George Mason (Top of the Lake) and Rose McIver (iZombie) taking on the parental roles.
The film was produced by Richard Fletcher of Libertine Pictures and Khf Media with investment from the New Zealand Film Commission, Nz on Air, Tvnz, The Kelly Entertainment Co, Park Rd Post Production, Avalon Studios and Kiwibank. Rochelle Bright adapted the screenplay from her successful play.

Now, this title has been picked up by sales agent Sc Films International, for a possible wider release. A new poster has been release for the film. And, this title involves an injured man and woman, who end up in an abandoned hospital. Here, they must face a sadistic caretaker. Alive stars: Angus Macfadyen (Braveheart), Thomas Cocquerel (Kidnapping Mr. Heineken) and Camille Stopps - with the film directed by Rob Grant (Fake Blood). An update on the film is available here. I want to start by saying I really wish I could give more of my time to Bits, the Blood in the Snow Film Festival, here in Toronto at the end of November each year. I have been so impressed with their growth these past seven years. With the expansion of their programming and facilities offered to fans and filmmakers like the Deadly Exposure Bits Film Industry Market, they are doing so much for a festival of their size, by comparison. The festival announced the first four titles of this year's lineup. The festival will open with Lowell Dean's post apocalyptic Supergrid and close with Danishka Esterhazy's dystopian thriller Level 16. Manchester-based genre film festival Grimmfest have announced the first 3 of many UK premieres lined up for this year’s 10th anniversary edition; along with details of some very special awards prizes on offer for films in the official selection. The full festival programme is due to be unleashed on Monday 3rd September 2018, but here’s an early sneak preview of 3 of this year’s titles…
First up Grimmfest will have the UK premiere of the much-anticipated Nightmare Cinema, a weird, wild and most welcome throwback to the classic EC-comics-inspired horror anthologies of the 1970s, from genre giants Alejandro Brugués, Joe Dante, Mick Garris, Ryûhei Kitamura and David Slade. Fresh from its world premiere at Fantasia International Film Festival, the film stars Mickey Rourke, Elizabeth Reaser, Richard Chamberlain and Annabeth Gish.
Director Rob Grant will be making a welcome return to the festival with the UK Premiere of Canadian shocker Alive.
