I feel like I just experienced an extended acid trip. This movie was all over the place, flashbacks, actors talking to the camera, then back to normal movie actions. It was confusing as all get out and you really had to pay attention to put the clues together. It definitely felt like a low budget film.
BUT somehow it kept my eyes glued to the screen. The acting was over the top but it I think it was meant to be. And the actors were great! Especially the main guy Aaron. Not Oscar worthy or anything, just better than I expected them to be. And I believed their characters. The plot was easy to understand, a guy wanting to know who killed his sister. The subplots were another thing, I was so confused right up to the very end, then it made sense. The background was as you'd expect for a low budget but I didn't really notice it after a bit. The sound was fine, no low/high issues. Sometimes it was funny, again I think it was on purpose.
Bottom line, I enjoyed the movie, I just don't know WHY I did. It's worth a watch if you can't find something better.
