This game is such, that the least you know, the more you enjoy from it. Its emotional, surprising, horrifying, cute, interesting and you will feel empty when you finish it.
Its free on steam so, I highly recommend you to check it out.

I loved this game. I only have one complaint. The game didn't go anywhere until like 2 hours into it. The first act is so long and might make you lose interest. That's probably why I saw a few bad reviews here. I'm not giving away what happens but it gets good, believe me!!!

The only helpful thing I have to tell someone who is thinking of trying this game and who came here, for some reason, to read reviews on a movie-focused website, is that the other positive reviews are very accurate. If you're going to play, don't try to find out anything about it.
Also, Yuri will always be the best.

On my first play through I had really only brushed the whole concept and shock value of the game which the average player understands. As I ventured more and more into the game I really had learned to love the attention to detail, the secret and hidden content. Every character has a back story to which tells why they act as they do and it adds a ton to the game. The conversation with Monika really tells good advice and ideologies and reveals a ton about the back story of the game and characters.
At first, I thought Doki Doki Literature Club was just going to be a dating simulator or a visual novel. I mean, not just any dating simulator or visual novel, since people spoke so highly of it, but an interesting one. So I knew there would be something different to this game - something special. Perhaps a great soundtrack, amazing graphics, or just a simple but great story.
Well, what I found was so much more rewarding than anything I was expecting!
When I first opened the game, I was greeted by the warning "This game is not suitable for children or for those who are easily disturbed.". After reading that simple message, I thought to myself "I think I'm gonna like this game", not knowing what Doki Doki had in store for me.
This game really is something special. I've never played something like this. The soundtrack is simple, intentionally repetitive, and thoughtfully placed and edited. The graphics or the "art" is intentionally generic and it does a great job at masking what Doki Doki Literature Club truly is.
The writing is very entertaining and, at times, hilarious. Not because the situations are funny, but because you - the player - know exactly what the game is doing and/or forcing you to do. I never thought I'd have so much fun playing a game like this and I'm so happy that someone was creative enough to put something like this together.
Doki Doki Literature Club is a breath of fresh air to a somewhat bloated genre of video games. This genre is not for everyone, and even Doki Doki can be a painful game for someone who is not into this genre at all. But if you can just get through those first hours, you'll be amazed at how a game can throw you a ball so curved, it warps around your mind and leaves you speechless.

Doki Doki Literature Club! is a game about literature club and that is the only thing you shold know about it, Right now the game have a massive hype, everyone talking about it and i'm a lucky person because i just found this game on steam, I have no hype or no expectation i just want to play it because it's got a good review and well... i was blown away by this game, I don't want to say much because the least you know is better and i don't want to be that guy that over hype it, If you like visual novel and then give this game a try, may be you will get something out of it a lot more than you think.

"You're just seeing it for the first time."
This game is absolutely amazing. Filled with feels and a number of jumpscares and glitches, this game is sure to keep you entertained.
It's free on Steam, so...why ignore it?
Also, Natsuki is waifu.

This is the best game ever it's a cute game where you have to date one of the girls at the literature Club. There is Yuri a girl who isn't very straight to the POINT. There's Nasuki who is very SNAPPY. There's Sayori who loves toHAN around you. There Monika who is JUST MONIKA.

It's not all the time I would play a graphic novel game, but Doki Doki Literature Club is one of the best ones out there. You may look at this as any dating simulator game, but this is much more than just that. This is one of the scariest horror games I have played. That would happen during the end of the first act and the entire second act. Throughout of that, we would see glitches and some terrifying deaths, which I will not spoil specifically. Outside of the horror element, both the story and the gameplay structure well to the happy ending with the creator saying to the players that it doesn't matter on which girl you like the most. It's about friendship and getting to know all these girls, which would affect the characters for their personalities. And to top it all off, one of the most extraordinary graphics for a video game. Not only the CGs are impressive and match the scenes for the game, but the presentation would mess with the players' minds with all these glitches. I definitely recommend this game for both anime fans and video game fans (since the creator has given a letter to gamers out there right the end of the secret ending). However, I highly recommend to prepare yourself for it. And if you're horror experienced, I think you're truly going to find this a one extraordinary video game. Keep in mind I have played this game on Doki Doki Literature Club Plus. So after I completed the main game, I have played the side stories. While it may not have the references from the game itself, it may have a nice origin story how the club started in the first place and has heartwarming morals. As for the game itself, this is the graphic novel game that's not only extraordinary, but also a thrill ride. Happy Valentine's Day.
