The movie had it's share of some pretty awesome moments and it's good in bits and pieces but overall as a war movie it is far from being a well made war movie. But this movie tpuches upon the topic that sadly hasn't been touched yet, the Sikhs had a major role in WW1, WW2 and were instrumental in winning many fronts for the British Commenwealth forces on this aspect this movie does well in providing a glimpse into the lives of those brave Sikh Soldiers by bringing and highlighting their story on the big screen. The storyline was predictable and cinematography wasn't that extraordinary specially when we have seen the the gaints like Band of Brothers, Hacksaw Ridge, Saving Private Ryan or WW1 movies like War Horse or 1917 (interestingly both WH & 1917 had shown a scene each of Sikh soldiers with turban). But from Indian Cinema's perspective this movie will be considered as a milestone in Indian war movie genre.
The makers should be applauded for attempting to tell an untold and unnoticed story of Sikhs. Anyone interested in war drama must watch this once, some will enjoy it a lot and some may not and those who don't will at least learn about an untold story of struggle and strife of Sikhs and Commenwealth soldiers who use to fight for British in every war. Many international viewers who are not aware of Sikhs will certainly get a peep into their culture which is completely different from theirs.

This movie is very factually correct as to what kind of things went on in WW1 and i give kudos to the writers for doing their research. This movie is the best you can expect from a genre which is new to the punjabi film industry. The acting by some of the foreign actors is kind of "cringy" at times, with half of the accents by them not making sense at all, but understandable with the budget of the film.

What a beautiful movie. It's much more than I had ever expected out an emotional war drama. Just the best so far from Punjabi cinema.
Must See.
Highly recommended

Awsome war movie i hve ever watch in my life. Diljit Dosanjh must make these type of movie which contain our true history how we get freedom from british rural
Should have been a great film sadly costume department it seems had a very limited budget if they had a historical military adviser he clear had no idea of British/Indian Army uniform equipment and drill. I doubt if they had any historical adviser at all. In the trailer you hear an air raid siren and then a radio announcer advising on Neville Chamberlain's declaration of war on Germany

Not well scripted, too long, average acting. I never felt like it's based on true incidents.

Spectacular work by every person associated with this movie. It is truly a dream project. I think this movie has raised the bar for every Indian movie. Other directors need to watch this movie, so they can avoid unnecessary VFX and try to incorporate originality. What makes this movie a great movie is the passion, hard work and true story of those brave soldiers, who sacrificed their lives.
Brilliant work!!!

Literally blown away ( pardon the pun) with this incredible film based on an uplifting story of Sikh soldiers fighting alongside the British during the Great War. Instantly invested in the main protagonist, Sajjan, played by Diljit Dosanjh. His subtle but incredibly moving performance was a definite highlight. At times hard to watch British soldiers being so cruel to those willing to help when we needed them ( Alex Preece was quite the article). The cinematography was terrific as was the incredible film score which perfectly enhanced key moments. Congratulations to all cast and crew and to the Director Pankaj Batra. My only comment would be that watching on Youtube meant numerous long ads that broke up the story far too often and sometimes at the wrong moments. Would highly recommend watching for the history lesson alone.
