Paul Koslo on 'Maniac!' (2016)
**** (out of 4)
If you're a fan of actor Paul Koslo then you're going to love this forty-one minute documentary that has the actor talking about the 1977 film MANIAC! (aka ASSAULT ON PARADISE). He talks about how he got involved with that film and from here he goes into its production including what it was like working with that all-star cast. Of course, the main focus is working with Oliver Reed and some of the craziness that would come from that. From here the rest of the running time is devoted to countless films from his filmmography including ROOSER COGBURN, VOYAGE OF THE DAMNED, the two Charles Bronson films THE STONE KILLER and MR. MAJESTYK as well as several others. If you're a fan of Koslo then you're definitely going to want to check this out. The stories about Reed are priceless but we get some terrific stories dealing with Bronson, John Wayne and countless other stars that the actor got to work with. Best of all is that Koslo is a wonderful storyteller so what we get to hear is just downright fun and priceless.
