This show had a rough start but got better for a short time. Now it feels worse than at the beginning. It's more about the sets, graphics, and personalities, than it is about sports news and insight. Occasionally a guest will come on with some real insight and there are times it feels worthy of my time. More times than not it's like Maury Povich but sports related. These sports personalities are spouting their opinions more for the entertainment value than actual reporting or insight. For some reason they feel that the more sports entertainment personalities they put on screen at the same time the better it is... It's not.

It has huge potential and still time to fix. As of now it is extremely disappointing.
Too many people on, talking at the same time. I love Mike, but he just sits there looking pissed off at life and hating ESPN for dropping his original show. Mike and Mike was 10 times better then Get Up.
This show needs order, and less people. If this show was meant to be informational and not only about sports. Don't talk at the same time, we are not awake to get annoyed to watch this.
Please fix this show. I no longer wake up wanting to watch this anymore.

It is not only boring but painful to listen to Kimberly Martin make relationship comparisons. Basically when she is at her best she is regurgitating info she has heard from people that know the game. Mina Kimes on the other hand knows the game of football as well as any none player at ESPN. I dont think having Martin on the show just for the sake of having a female on the show. Their are plenty of women that know the game and are much more interesting and articulate than Martin. Starting with Mina Kimes. Kimes has unique perspective and opinion that is educated and informed. Kimes knowledge is obviously above average. Kimes could actually benefit a team if she were given a position. Please more Kimes less Martin.

This isn't the worst sports show - this might be one of the worst shows on TV. What a sad turn after Mike & Mike.
FYI: Greenberg chose to leave Mike & Mike - I don't know why user comments are saying ESPN dropped his show. Golic wanted to continue - that was why there was a rift and why Golic is trying to do the same concept with Trey Wingo, who sadly is incredibly annoying.
Greenberg wanted a big studio, to make a splash to move to TV - that's why they built out this monstrosity, with the 3 hosts being paid $15M a year to pull in ratings that aren't even half of First Take.
The content is derivative, the hosts aren't endearing, the analysis isn't insightful - we're supposed to spend 3 hours watching these 3 vie for camera attention?
ESPN should promote actually creative shows like LeBatard/HQ or Pardon My Take, keep staples like PTI etc., and then have JUST highlights. Otherwise it's just trying the same formula over-and-over again of trying to take a sports anchor/radio host and trying to convince us they're entertainers.
Your employees are not Charles Barkley - the majority of them need to stick to reading a teleprompter.

Destroying Mike & Mike in order to create this dreadful mess was a mistake of epic proportions. The best way to salvage Get Up! is to bring Golic in recreate it as Mike & Mike 2. That would have the added advantage of rescuing viewers from tremendously annoying Trey Wingo.
Doesn't get it. Watched 20 minutes, she put down college basketball's "one shining moment" and then the masters..... she is awful!

I was a a huge Mike and Mike fan. A four hour a day listener as I work from home and it was always on. I have now tried to watch Get Up 4 times and I have never lasted more than 20 minutes. I can't stand Beadle and Mike seems like he is not himself and is drowning. Jalen is likable but just not as personable, insightful and relatable as Golic. I am not a troll and I wanted to like the show. It is HORRIBLE and needs to END asap. I have no idea what kind of testing, analysis etc went into putting this show together but ALL of those people should find other jobs.
These reviews are full of haters who actively look for a platform to show their hate. It's like yelp. If you had a bad experience you go to yelp to tell people about it.

The show has gotten a lot better since Michele Beadle is gone. Greeny seems to have been "reborn" and their guests have brought a new enthusiasm to the show.

A show like this needs to exist, and Greenberg is the perfect person to host it. I used to like Beadle before she left ESPN the first time, but she is not a fit for this morning format, and it's obvious Greenberg can tell already it's a failure. Jalen is fine for a segment or two, but he isn't ready for this. It took Golic years, there is a reason why people go to college for this.
Please save us and Greeny.

Not sure why all the negative reviews. They talk sports more then Golic and Wingo and Beadle adds a funny element to the show. Overall its a decent sports talk show.

This show will grow. It's still looking for the right formula but will find it. The film editing is superb. The commentary and insights are good. It needs to improve the flow and the fashions of the commentators.

I was anxious to see how Mike Greenberg and company would fare on the new "Get Up!" show on ESPN. I've tried to watch all week. I turn it on for a few minutes and I have to turn to another channel because it's so bad. They are not off to a good start and they're going to have to make some major changes to survive IMO. The chemistry isn't working, the content and flow of the show just isn't there.

The only reason Greenberg lasted as long as he did with Golic, was because Golic knew what he was talking about, and could save us from the mindless 'noise' that streams from Greenberg's mouth. Now there's no one to cover up for him...good luck!

I simply don't get what ESPN thinks it is doing devoting even more airtime to the "hot" takes debate format that has been killing its ratings for years now.
The hosts are beyond unappealing. This clearly was a vanity project that Greenberg's agent must have blackmailed or begged management for. He has no presence and only a cursory knowledge of athletics after all these years in SPORTS BROADCASTING. Jalen Rose is just smug. Beadle had nothing to interact with. And she probably said what she said about not watching football to get thrown off the show before it dragged down her career. Sadly it is now just a revolving door of female fill-ins in shorter and shorter skirts.
In the morning, stick to the facts and highlights of the previous day's sports events. This show must be aimed at a demographic that needs to be screamed at in order to awaken them. Unfortunately, this show will put them right back to sleep.

I used to listen to mike and mike in the morning's radio show, and I really enjoyed the radio show, but it wasn't necessarily what I wanted to watch. I watch First Take in small doses, albeit, I like Max, Molly, and Stephen A., but it's too loud and argumentative for what I want to ingest first thing in the morning, I understand that's the premise of the show-DEBATE! DEBATE! DEBATE!!!!!!
I love the chemistry among the crew on Get Up! Greeny in my opinion is the ideal voice for any show, he's got charisma, he's got character and he's not overly verbose, and he's a great voice. I loved sportsnation when Michelle, Max, and Marcellus were doing the show, I hated seeing Max walk away but the guy got a nice payday out of it, so good for him, I just really loved the chemistry that was on that show as well- I miss the Max and Marcellus radio show but oh well. Michelle is a jubilant personality that I personally enjoy, sure she has opinions that I might not agree with but those are her opinions and that's the point of having a panel, to each have their own voice. Jalon is my guy, I love to hear his take on sports, pop-culture, and anything else, especially movies-looking at you Jacoby!- Jalon in my opinion is the magnet that holds all three together in unison and I hope the show is given a chance to continue despite the poor ratings or whatever. Also I hope Jalen never stops singing.

I don't know if Beadle is on vacation or what but somebody needs to get her back in her chair

I enjoy the football crew that rotates daily. However, They HAVE to get rid of Sam Acho. His stupid horse mouth smile and his analysis drive me up a wall. He states the obvious so often and then tries to drive it home as if no one else has considered the basic answer. He is not funny at all, as most of the other tend to have an original take and sense of humor in their analysis.
I would be super happy with a rotation of Ryan, Marcus, Damien, Louis, Saturday, Varitek, Bart, Dominique, Dan G, Rex, Mike T. For the love of God, just get rid of Sam Acho....

Greenberg gives the polar opposite of hot takes. Michelle seems to just breathe New York air. No idea what they're going to do with Jalen once the nba playoffs are over.

Now that some time has past, I feel a bit kinder toward this show for several reasons:
1. It took some time for the various personalities to "mesh". It is at least somewhat better now, and having Beadle leave the show is a plus, given her antipathy towards football (as she expressed). I'm sure she will be very good wiht the NBA.
2. The tensions that filled the early days of the show, seems to have abated.
3. Greeny now seems to actually be enjoying himself and those with him, not just trying to hold the show together.
4. Jalen Rose has shown a facility for exploring issues outside the NBA realm.
5. Guests are now more common and they add interest as well as humor.
I record and watch at least parts of the show daily. In the past, I couldn't finish a show.

Get up is just a bad show. ESPN keeps trying to be progressive and keeps failing. Greenberg was a better fit with Golic while Rose and Bradley are flat and uninteresting.
Wasted 30 minutes on their first show out of curiosity. Beadle & Jalen fan from their past endeavors, but this does not work. The mindless street banter (all at once most of the time...) over highlights & the quad box adding Booger is too many voices with little info. My biggest concern since is the 10-20 seconds it comes on after SportsCenter before I change the channel will count as a viewer.
