Deadline reports that veteran music video director Colin Tilley, who made his feature directorial debut with Halsey’s concept horror film If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, will be taking of the helm of Canyon, working from a screenplay by John Wick and Nobody writer Derek Kolstad.

The story Kolstad has crafted for this one takes place over the course of one scorching night. Canyon — a part-time jazz musician and full-time killer — finds himself the unlikely protector of a young siren pulled into a turf war between feuding crime families. When you mix crime, murder, and jazz, I immediately think of the 1992 John Woo classic Hard Boiled – which would be a great film for the makers of this movie to draw inspiration from.

Henry Winkler and Lena Headey have joined Bob Odenkirk in the upcoming action movie “Normal,” from the producing team behind the 2021 hit “Nobody.”

In “Normal,” Odenkirk plays Ulysses, who is appointed substitute sheriff in the tiny Minnesota town of Normal, populated by friendly Midwesterners. When the local bank is sacked, Ulysses “unknowingly uncovers something far more explosive than a simple bank robbery,” per the logline.

Winkler, star of “Happy Days” and “Barry,” will play the mayor of Normal, while “Game of Thrones” and “300” favorite Headey is the local bartender, Moira.

“Normal” is directed by Ben Wheatley from a screenplay written by “John Wick” creator Derek Kolstad, who shares a story credit with Odenkirk. Producers are Marc Provissiero (“Nobody,” “No Hard Feelings”), Odenkirk and Kolstad, who all recently wrapped “Nobody 2.”

Nobody Wants This Season 1 ended on a high note for Joanne and Noah after a big night at Miriam’s (Shiloh Bearman) bat mitzvah. But it wasn’t without some tears, discoveries, and dance moves.

Noah learned his chances at becoming head rabbi were so good that the promotion was practically a done deal. Upon hearing the news, he told Joanne he loved her. After saying she loved him too, and initially agreeing to convert to Judaism, she realized she couldn’t make Noah “choose.

Who cares about the possible destruction of the space-time continuum if you can go back to the 2000s and stop a murder, right? The teens in Netflix’s time-traveling slasher film Time Cut face that question and opt to give the past a makeover, just like in She’s All That.

Netflix has shared the official trailer, posters, and photos for Time Cut, an upcoming sci-fi slasher film directed by Hannah Macpherson, who co-wrote the script with Michael Kennedy. Kennedy wrote the story.

In Time Cut, Madison Bailey plays a teenage girl who travels back to the early 2000s to stop a vicious killer from murdering her sister, played by Antonia Gentry. The movie will be available to stream on October 30, just in time for Halloween.

The cast includes Madison Bailey, Antonia Gentry, Michael Shanks, Griffin Gluck, Rachael Crawford, and Jordan Pettle.

Megan Best, Samuel Braun, Sydney Sabiston, and Kataem O’Connor round out the cast.

The Ace Entertainment production began principal photography on July 6, 2021, and filming ended in August 2021. Matt Kaplan and Christopher Landon are the producers.

The executive producers include Christopher Foss, Matthew Janzen, Max Siemers, and Aubrey Bendix. The cinematography was by Tony Mirza and the late Halyna Hutchins.

Although Timo Tjahjanto has a new action film, The Shadow Strays, premiering on Netflix next month. His next and higher-profile action film has just been put in the can. Tjahjanto has posted on his social media that principal photography on Nobody 2, starring Bob Odenkirk and Christopher Lloyd, has wrapped and now it’s on to post-production.

Tjahjanto posted a picture of the film’s (presumably final scene) clapperboard along with a photo of him and the film’s star, Bob Odenkirk, behind the scenes celebrating the wrap. The caption simply states, “Wrapped. See you at the cinemas.”

The best new comedy series of 2024 made its premiere on Netflix on Sept. 26, and of course, we're talking about Nobody Wants This. No, that's not hyperbole. Some might not agree that it's not the best new comedy of the year, but it's definitely in the conversation no matter what. And after the hopeful and open-ended season finale, we need a second season as soon as possible.

Erin Foster created the series based on her own personal experience with converting to Judaism and marrying husband Simon Tikhman. Loosely inspired by that journey, Kristen Bell plays rough-around-the-edges podcast host Joanne, who meets Adam Brody's traditional Jewish rabbi Noah. While they pursue their shared sparks, no one around them seems to want them to work.

Across the 10-episode first season of Nobody Wants This, Joanne (Kristen Bell) and Noah (Adam Brody) really make viewers work for the will-they-or-won't-they payoff!

In Netflix's romantic comedy series, Bell plays the carefree sex and relationships podcaster Joanne who just can't seem to find a good, healthy relationship of her own. That is, until she meets Brody's handsome and charismatic rabbi Noah. Suddenly, religion gets in the middle of potential real love.

By the end of the first season, Joanne and Noah's relationship becomes under fire from just about everybody: Joanne's family, Noah's family (his mother especially), Noah's career trajectory, etc. Nobody seems to want them to make it, leading to the question: Will Joanne convert?

THR reports that John Ortiz, best known for his roles in Fast & Furious, American Gangster, Kong: Skull Island, Mayans Mc, and many others, has joined the cast of Nobody 2, which is currently in production in Winnipeg.

The sequel will see Bob Odenkirk return as Hutch Mansell, the mild-manner family man who keeps his past as a government assassin under wraps. Connie Nielsen is also returning as Hutch’s wife, Becca, as well as Christopher Lloyd as Hutch’s father, a retired FBI agent. It was announced earlier this year that Sharon Stone would be playing the main villain of the sequel. Colin Hanks is also onboard as a “corrupt sheriff with none-too-nice ambitions.” It’s not yet known who John Ortiz will play in Nobody 2, but I always love seeing him pop up in projects.
