Mads Mikkelsen has been playing villains for most of his career. Be it in James Bond, Marvel, or Indiana Jones, that actor has certainly been giving heroes a run for their money with his excellent antagonistic skills. With this, moving from a villain to an anti-hero wasn’t a big stretch for the actor.

In 2019, Mikkelsen starred in Polar, which followed the best assassin in the world’s attempt to retire, only to be turned into a target by his former employer. There is no denying that the film is somewhat reminiscent of Keanu Reeves’ John Wick. However, there is one huge aspect that makes it different from it.
One that could be interesting enough to drive its very own sequel that could do much better than the original.

Director J.D. Dillard has gotten a lot of press for projects that he was attached to, but they fell apart. There was a remake of The Fly, a Star Wars movie and a sequel to The Rocketeer… But while those high-profile projects have gotten away from him, he has managed to make a few movies in recent years: the sci-fi crime drama Sleight, the creature feature Sweetheart, and the Korean War movie Devotion. He has also directed episodes of Utopia, The Twilight Zone, The Outsider, and Two Sentence Horror Stories. Now, Deadline reports that Dillard has signed on to direct an adaptation of the 2023 sci-fi thriller novel The Strange, which was written by Nathan Ballingrud. Aisha Porter-Christie is writing the screenplay and the project is set up at Black Label Media, the company that also produced Devotion.

War Machine himself, Don Cheadle, is set to star in the crime thriller Canyon for Alcon Entertainment, taking on the role of a jazz-playing killer. Deadline reports that veteran music video director Colin Tilley, who made his feature directorial debut with Halsey’s concept horror film If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, will be taking of the helm of Canyon, working from a screenplay by John Wick and Nobody writer Derek Kolstad.
The story Kolstad has crafted for this one takes place over the course of one scorching night. Canyon — a part-time jazz musician and full-time killer — finds himself the unlikely protector of a young siren pulled into a turf war between feuding crime families. When you mix crime, murder, and jazz, I immediately think of the 1992 John Woo classic Hard Boiled – which would be a great film for the makers of this movie to draw inspiration from.

Nobody Loves You More, Kim Deal’s first-ever solo album, has been a lifetime in the making. The trailblazing singer-songwriter, whose recordings with the Pixies and the Breeders drafted blueprints for the Nineties alt-rock explosion, has always released albums at unusual intervals, La Jetée-like snapshots of her state of mind. She’s been the Buzz Bin sexpot (Pixies’ “Gigantic” for sure, and isn’t “Divine Hammer” simply Gen X’s “Tush”?), she’s been the bong in the reggae song (“Cannonball”), and the ever-moving island (Title Tk’s “Off You”). Other times,...

The new Dcu kicks off with Creature Commandos this December, but the inaugural movie, James Gunn’s Superman, will be coming next year. While the new shared universe revamps the DC continuity, the brand doesn’t shy away from side stories either, with bonus Batman projects like the Todd Phillips Joker movies and Matt Reeves’ The Batman movies with The Penguin spin-off. However, there’s another director who is interested in telling his own side story with the famous Caped Crusader.

You are sorely mistaken if you thought Hutch Mansell had little gas in the tank after the events of 2021’s Nobody. Bob Odenkirk is back in the first look at one of next year’s most anticipated action films, Nobody 2. The new image comes courtesy of Empire Magazine, whose previews of some of next year’s hottest films include exclusive photos, interviews, and tidbits. The Night Comes For Us director Timo Tjahjanto helms this bloody and bone-cracking sequel, which bodes well for action fans.
Now that Hutch’s family knows about his secret past, there’s no putting the genie back in the bottle. He must adapt and find ways to balance his family life and the one he left behind, and that won’t be easy after making plenty of noise in the first film. “Now that he’s back at it in full throttle, how does his family react to this beast?...

Bob Odenkirk has come a long way from exclusively being a comedian. Although he has been known to table in comedy from time to time, the actor has gained a reputation for his dramatics a lot more than he has for his jokes. After starring as Saul Goodman in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, he has become an icon in the world of action and drama.

So much so, that he is heading his own series after the end of his beloved spin-off. The first Nobody film, released in 2021, impressed fans in more ways than one. The film was successful enough that its sequel, Nobody 2, has had fans more than a little excited.
With the first look at the upcoming film having just been released, there are more than a few possibilities that can happen with this sequel, and not all of them are good.

Few would have pegged Bob Odenkirk as a burgeoning action behemoth before Nobody. But that film – in which Odenkirk’s seemingly ordinary suburban dad Hutch got back in touch with the inner assassin he’d long buried – proved that the man formerly known as Saul Goodman is very much a Somebody in the beat-‘em-up stakes. Now, he’s about to unleashed again in Nobody 2, with The Night Comes For Us director Timo Tjahjanto taking the reins. Make no mistake – it’s going to get messy.
While Nobody saw Hutch gradually unpack more and more layers of his ultra-violent past across the runtime, there’s no putting that back in the box in Nobody 2. “Now that he’s back at it in full throttle, how does his family react to this beast?” teases Tjahjanto of what Hutch is facing this time around. “You’ll see a lot of...

Nobody Wants This quickly proved its title incorrect when the Netflix original romantic comedy series premiered on Sept. 26. After racking up millions upon millions of viewing minutes since it dropped, the show actually confirmed that everybody want this. And what everybody wanted immediately after watching the charming first season was a second season.
Thankfully, Netflix delivered on that front and announced the Nobody Wants This season 2 renewal on Oct. 10, just two weeks after the show initially premiered. Of course, the series stars Kristen Bell and Adam Brody as a star-crossed couple navigating their relationship amid pressures from family, friends, and Noah's career as a rabbi... since Joanne isn't Jewish.
From creator Erin Foster and loosely based on her experiences converting to Judaism, Nobody Wants This has helped many millennial women feel seen through the show's vulnerable exploration of intimacy and relationships. The show will continue to do so with its highly anticipated second season,...

When Netflix released the romantic comedy series Nobody Wants This in September 2024, viewers quickly let the streamer know that, actually, everybody wants this. Two weeks after the show dropped, Netflix renewed the Kristen Bell-Adam Brody series for a second season, and to add to the show's victory, it remains in the top 10 over one month later.
Obviously, these days, no one wants to wait a long time in between seasons of streaming series after waits have climbed upwards of two, even three, years for new episodes. Well, the rom-com series is looking likely to avoid a lengthy wait for the next season as a new report suggests production will begin on the highly anticipated second season at the top of the new year.
According to series star Adam Brody at the show's FYC event, Nobody Wants This season 2 begins filming in February 2025 and could be released in September,...

Henry Winkler and Lena Headey have joined Bob Odenkirk in the upcoming action movie “Normal,” from the producing team behind the 2021 hit “Nobody.”
In “Normal,” Odenkirk plays Ulysses, who is appointed substitute sheriff in the tiny Minnesota town of Normal, populated by friendly Midwesterners. When the local bank is sacked, Ulysses “unknowingly uncovers something far more explosive than a simple bank robbery,” per the logline.
Winkler, star of “Happy Days” and “Barry,” will play the mayor of Normal, while “Game of Thrones” and “300” favorite Headey is the local bartender, Moira.
“Normal” is directed by Ben Wheatley from a screenplay written by “John Wick” creator Derek Kolstad, who shares a story credit with Odenkirk. Producers are Marc Provissiero (“Nobody,” “No Hard Feelings”), Odenkirk and Kolstad, who all recently wrapped “Nobody 2.”
Principal photography on “Normal” began Oct. 21 and will continue in Winnipeg, Canada, through December. Rounding out the cast are Ryan Allen,...

Dax Shepard was in for a big surprise when he watched Nobody Wants This, the Netflix rom-com series starring his wife, Kristen Bell. Shepard, 49, learned just how good Bell, 44, was at kissing when he watched her on-screen smooch with co-star Adam Brody.

For the uninitiated, Bell and Brody’s characters, Joanne and Noah, shared a romantic kiss on the streets of Los Angeles, California, in Nobody Wants This Season 1 Episode 2: “A Shiksa Walks Into a Temple.” Joanne even later described it to her sister, Morgan, played by Succession alum Justine Lupe, as one of the best kisses of her life.
Watching the scene Shepard realized Bell’s never kissed him like that. (They married in 2013 after meeting in 2007.) “My friend…we watched that scene together, the kissing scene, which I’d argue is the very best kissing scene ever,...

Did Breaking Bad fulfill Walter White’s tragic arc? ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
Let’s rewind to the electrifying finale of Breaking Bad! Did Walter White’s descent into darkness hit all the tragic notes or leave us puzzled? Vince Gilligan flipped the classic hero’s journey on its head, showing how far a mild-mannered chemistry teacher could plunge. Spoiler alert: it’s a crazy ride! Walt, after his cancer diagnosis, didn’t spiral; he rocketed into the drug trade, cooking up chaos alongside Jesse Pinkman. “Chemistry is the study of change,” and boy, did he change!
Walter White: The Antihero’s Rise
Gilligan had a mission: take Mr. Chips and mold him into Scarface, which he did with style. Each episode peeled back layers of Walt’s psyche, tossing viewers a loaded question: “Why are you still rooting for this guy?” With every passing season, that answer felt more like a riddle.

John Wick’s Creator Set to Deliver Highly Anticipated Sequel to ‘Nobody’ ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
Back in 2021, Nobody was a huge hit; honestly, nobody saw that coming! Made on a modest $16 million budget, it raked in almost $60 million at the box office. It followed in the footsteps of John Wick, which surprised everyone in 2014 by becoming a cultural phenomenon. Fun fact: Derek Kolstad wrote both films’ scripts.
Since Nobody’s success, we have eagerly awaited the sequel, and the wait is nearly over. ‘Nobody 2’ is on the way, but Derek Kolstad didn’t write it alone this time. He received help from Aaron Rabin, Umair Aleem, and, of course, the star himself, Bob Odenkirk—who has showcased his acting abilities not only in Nobody but also through his outstanding roles in ‘Breaking Bad’ and its spin-off, Better Call Saul.

Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan continues to write new chapters in his feel-good comeback story, and this latest one is as an action star in Jonathan Eusebio’s Love Hurts.
After a nearly two-decade hiatus from acting, Quan won an Oscar for his supporting role as Waymond Wang in Daniels’ best picture-winning Everything Everywhere All at Once. It was a storybook second chance for an actor who grew disillusioned with acting, opting to quit and enroll in USC’s film program. It wasn’t until watching 2018’s Crazy Rich Asians that he felt the urge to test the waters for any new opportunities.
In Love Hurts, Quan’s character, Marvin Gable, is one of Milwaukee’s best real estate agents, and he, too, has also been enjoying his own second bite of the apple until his much darker past as a hitman comes back to haunt him. In the lead-up...

In his first major role since his 2023 Oscar win, Ke Huy Quan stars in Love Hurts, and here’s the trailer.
Academy Award-winner Ke Huy Quan’s new film? That’d be Love Hurts, produced by 87North, a company which has had huge success in recent years with the John Wick franchise, Nobody and Violent Night. Veteran stunt coordinator Jonathan Eusebio makes his directorial debut from a screenplay by Matthew Murray and Josh Stoddard.
Let’s get to the point fast: here’s the trailer…
The synopsis reads as follows:
From 87North—producers of the groundbreaking action films Nobody, Violent Night, Atomic Blonde, The Fall Guy—comes a visceral, high-octane story of wrath and revenge. In the future, everyone will get their own “John Wick”-esque action comedy. The next person to get one is Ke Huy Quan, and the movie is “Love Hurts,” in which Quan plays a former hitman who comes out of retirement for one last mission. On Tuesday, Universal released a trailer for the film, which opens in theaters early next year. It features Quan’s impressive stunt work scored by the ironically easy-listening tones of Celine Dion’s “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now.”

From 87North—producers of the groundbreaking action films Nobody, Violent Night, Bullet Train, Atomic Blonde and The Fall Guy—comes a visceral, high-octane story of wrath and revenge.
Quan stars as Marvin Gable, a realtor working the Milwaukee suburbs, where ‘For Sale’ signs bloom. Gable receives a crimson envelope from Rose, a former partner-in-crime that he had left for dead. She’s not happy. Now, Marvin is thrust back into a world of ruthless hitmen, filled with double-crosses and open houses turned into deadly warzones.

When Court TV began re-airing the first trial of Erik and Lyle Menendez during the pandemic, an entirely new generation became aware of the 1990s murder case that was a media sensation years before they were born.
The Beverly Hills brothers were 18 and 21, respectively, when they shot and killed their parents, José and Kitty Menendez, in 1989. Their initial 1993 trial, where they were tried jointly and with separate juries, ended in a hung jury. The female jurors sided with their self-defense argument, that both boys had been sexually, physically and emotionally abused by their father since they were children and that, with their mother in the know, they feared for their lives; but the male jurors did not.
“The first trial was a hung jury. It was not something that a jury of their peers was able to convict them on, and it was almost retried for a whole new generation...

Adam Brody and Kristen Bell have different predictions on what could happen if Nobody Wants This returns for season 2. One sees a future where agnostic Joanne (Bell) and rabbi Noah (Brody) give their relationship another shot on the Netflix original series. Spoiler: It’s The O.C. alum. Meanwhile, the other doesn’t have an “answer.”
[Spoiler alert: This article contains spoilers from Nobody Wants This Season 1.]
How ‘Nobody Wants This’ Season 1 ended
Nobody Wants This Season 1 ended on a high note for Joanne and Noah after a big night at Miriam’s (Shiloh Bearman) bat mitzvah. But it wasn’t without some tears, discoveries, and dance moves.
Noah learned his chances at becoming head rabbi were so good that the promotion was practically a done deal. Upon hearing the news, he told Joanne he loved her. After saying she loved him too, and initially agreeing to convert to Judaism, she realized she couldn’t make Noah “choose.

Ever feel like stumbling upon the internet’s strangest nook and cranny? Recently, a tweet from Ellen DeGeneres has resurfaced, raising eyebrows all around. This quirky 2016 post features The Ellen Show host referring to rapper P Diddy with the ridiculously cutesy nickname “Cuddle McSnugglestuff.” Now that’s a nickname that leaves us itching for context!

But adding to the intrigue, DeGeneres was earlier approached by paparazzi about Diddy and the swirling rumors concerning his rumored “Freakoff” parties. Her response, however, seemed a bit dodgy, prompting social media to jump on the bandwagon, suggesting she might be hiding something just because she didn’t comment on the questions.
Are We Reading Too Much into Ellen DeGeneres’ Silence?
With Diddy recently being cuffed for some rather serious allegations—racketeering and s*x trafficking—old videos and social media musings are creeping back into the limelight.

The best new comedy series of 2024 made its premiere on Netflix on Sept. 26, and of course, we're talking about Nobody Wants This. No, that's not hyperbole. Some might not agree that it's not the best new comedy of the year, but it's definitely in the conversation no matter what. And after the hopeful and open-ended season finale, we need a second season as soon as possible.
Erin Foster created the series based on her own personal experience with converting to Judaism and marrying husband Simon Tikhman. Loosely inspired by that journey, Kristen Bell plays rough-around-the-edges podcast host Joanne, who meets Adam Brody's traditional Jewish rabbi Noah. While they pursue their shared sparks, no one around them seems to want them to work.
Through a series of ups and downs, crushes and icks, family feuds and crashed bat mitzvahs, Joanne and Noah's relationship undergoes quite the test in Nobody...

Loosely inspired by that journey, Kristen Bell plays rough-around-the-edges podcast host Joanne, who meets Adam Brody's traditional Jewish rabbi Noah. While they pursue their shared sparks, no one around them seems to want them to work.

There couldn't be a more must-watch television event for millennials in 2024 than Nobody Wants This. The Netflix original romantic comedy series teams up Kristen Bell and Adam Brody for the mismatched love story of an agnostic podcast host falling for a handsome rabbi. It's the ultimate will-they-or-won't-they romance with a killer sense of humor and actual emotional stakes.
Obviously, Kristen Bell and Adam Brody were the stars of two of the most popular teen drama series of the early aughts. Bell's breakthrough role arrived in the Upn/CW detective drama Veronica Mars, while Brody's came in the form of the tongue-in-cheek teen soap The O.C. Both shows are bonafide millennial classics! Not to mention, Bell also narrated The CW's Gossip Girl.
Speaking of Gossip Girl, in real life, Brody has been married to the erstwhile Blair Waldorf star Leighton Meester since 2014, and the couple has two children together.

Warning: This post contains spoilers from the Nobody Wants This season finale.
Across the 10-episode first season of Nobody Wants This, Joanne (Kristen Bell) and Noah (Adam Brody) really make viewers work for the will-they-or-won't-they payoff!
In Netflix's romantic comedy series, Bell plays the carefree sex and relationships podcaster Joanne who just can't seem to find a good, healthy relationship of her own. That is, until she meets Brody's handsome and charismatic rabbi Noah. Suddenly, religion gets in the middle of potential real love.
By the end of the first season, Joanne and Noah's relationship becomes under fire from just about everybody: Joanne's family, Noah's family (his mother especially), Noah's career trajectory, etc. Nobody seems to want them to make it, leading to the question: Will Joanne convert?
Here's your final spoiler warning!
Nobody Wants This. (L to R) Kristen Bell as Joanne, Adam Brody as Noah in episode 102 of Nobody Wants This.

THR reports that John Ortiz, best known for his roles in Fast & Furious, American Gangster, Kong: Skull Island, Mayans Mc, and many others, has joined the cast of Nobody 2, which is currently in production in Winnipeg.
The sequel will see Bob Odenkirk return as Hutch Mansell, the mild-manner family man who keeps his past as a government assassin under wraps. Connie Nielsen is also returning as Hutch’s wife, Becca, as well as Christopher Lloyd as Hutch’s father, a retired FBI agent. It was announced earlier this year that Sharon Stone would be playing the main villain of the sequel. Colin Hanks is also onboard as a “corrupt sheriff with none-too-nice ambitions.” It’s not yet known who John Ortiz will play in Nobody 2, but I always love seeing him pop up in projects.

Song Name – Nobody Knows
Singer – Shawn Mendes
Check out Nobody Knows Song Lyrics by Shawn Mendes
When your touch walks me home
When you taste this good
When the glitter is gold
And it feels like it should
When you’re so in love
And your souls touch
But it’s still not enough
Where does it go? (Woah)
Where does it go?
Nobody knows
Where the love goes
You’re an amateur drunk and everyone knows it
But, fuck, you’re the one and I live for those moments
When the bottle is open, anything can happen
Flyin’ too close to the sun
When you’re so in love
And your souls touch
But it’s still not enough
Where does it go?
Where does it go?
Nobody knows
Where the love goes...

When Keanu Reeves’ John Wick was released back in 2014, it changed the action genre for good. The shaky-cam, fast-cuts style popularized by the Jason Bourne franchise and the MCU was done away with for more elaborate gun-fu-inspired combat sequences. The films have influenced many others like Nobody, Extraction, and Atomic Blonde.
However, the John Wick franchise may have a new competitor in town as the recent Will Smith-starrer Bad Boys: Ride or Die gave fans a surprisingly adrenaline-pumping action sequence. While Smith himself is not involved in the scene, Dennis McDonald’s Reggie steals the show as he takes on fifteen men who attack his home.
