I just gave it a try, was pleasantly surprised and could not stop. A modern & very colourful Pakistani series with all hindi dialogues (hardly any Arabic words). Story of a family of 6 ( parents, 3 sisters and a brother). Good heroine. By the end of the episode I am hooked !
Overall=Good emotional drama.
This is a beautifully written drama showing power, pride, unequal system and then one sin which changed the lives of many... The character of Mir Hadi is so much powerfully written and played extremely well by Feroze Khan that I don't even have words to describe it. In fact this only character with fabulous acting lifted the whole drama too much that at one point you just wanted to see Mir Hadi on screen and nothing else...
The friendship and the loyalty shown in also very well... However it feels like at the end the director didn't manage to do justice with the character of Mir Hadi, the ending episodes seems elongated and dragged un necessary, they could do much better than that and Khaani in the end seems to be selfish...
Highly recommended to watch this drama for the outstanding acting of Feroze Khan and the character or Mir Hadi... This is one of the rare piece of art in which you will fell in love with the villain and you can barely hold your emotions for him...
First time watching a drama from Pakistan (thanks to Netflix). This was an amazing work of art that should be viewed by all. It is a study of class differences when the element of power is added. The dynamics of power and powerless is portrayed with the addition of emotional investment of the viewer. A study in emotions follows: joy, trust, surprise, anger, fear, disgust, sadness and anticipation are all heavily used to move this drama forward to the point of viewer addiction. I personally cried throughout the drama and spent many hours after midnight binge watching. After the writer takes you through all of these emotions he overlays the importance of spiritual growth -- the recognition of the power of God and prayer in all of our lives. Submission, acceptance and obedience to His will. This drama was amazing, first rate acting, beautiful staging throughout and costume designs perfect. Loved it - loved it and recommend to everyone. Just a word of warning - don't read Wikipedia before watching - it is spoiler central for this drama. Too much information before viewing.

An emotional drama with powerful acting .
Feroze Khan one of the best actors ,the drama is a must watch mainly because of Feroze Khan (Mir Hadi).

Not sure why this show is called Khaani when the shoe stealer is the character Hadi. This show should be renamed to Meer Hadi.
The most irritating character was khaani's husband.
Also khaani felt like a heartless person.

Khaani is a heart- wrenching story captured beautifully by so many stand out performances from several members of the cast. The sound track is one of the best I've heard on a Pakistani drama. I have watched many other Pakistani dramas rated as 9 and above on and none compare to Khaani.

Frankly speaking , this drama is just over-rated , nothing else! .... Too much clichés, no capturing dialogues & the main ; not a beautiful script until we find an obsessive-type Lover MEER HAADI(FEROZE Khan).
..
But believe me , FEROZE KHAN & MEHBOOB ASLAM sir acted brilliantly! !!!
+ The OST ❤✌🎧

Watched on Netflix, by chance. After the first few episodes (out of 31), got hooked to it. Dialogues are very easy to follow, even if you don't know Urdu. Story takes unexpected but, in hindsight, very realist turns. Covers society, politics and spirituality in a flawless transition.
Generally, I love Pakistani serials, but this was right at the top of my rankings.

I am unable to understand why the background music is so loud in all the episodes.
I have yet to see a Pakistan Drama as good as Humsafar.
I found the pace of Khaani too slow and acting of the lead pair average. Had to leave it half way while watching on Netflix

The show should actually be called Meer Hadi and not Khaani. The entire story/plot/acting stealer is the character Hadi. I really FELT so sorry for Hadi just because of his life transformed that how a spoilt brat fell in love with Khanni..and devoted his life to the God. I think the storyline ended very well otherwise it would have had typical commercial soaps.
Not all story deserves a happy ending, but there should be a "sukoon" after watching, and it never missed from a single episode on this series. The only character worth watching this show is for Feroz Khan as his acting as Hadi was incredible and in last few eppisodes, his acting was top-notch.
It will teach you lesson, the meaning of life.

Difficult to watch the awful acting and the bucket loads of tears some of the characters seem to love to shed.
Perpetuates some offensive stereotypes but that maybe just an orchestrated thing to cater to the low end audience this obviously was created to cater to.
