I think the story has run its course. This last version does have a weaker plot and you really need to have seen many of the others to make sense of it. But if you have seen them it is interesting if you can get through the constant breaks from the main plot.
One pet peeve of mine is the created equal diatribe in season 1 episode 8 and in another anime Aquarion Logos. They mistakenly or purposefully misrepresent "created equal" from the United States Constitution. It has *nothing* to do with ability at all. It is that no other person has the right to rule over another without their consent. We were created equal in our human rights. You can give consent to be governed, but at the same time you can revoke that consent it if it breaks the inalienable rights of the individual.

I think it's not as bad as it is described. Although other fate series are better, this one also has an interesting story line and it is actually giving you reasons to keep watching it. I didn't regret watching it.
There was a lot of intrigue to some of the other Fate series. Granted, they all struggle a little bit with character motivation and story conclusion. This one however, not only feels wildly disconnected from the series, it struggles to even put together a basic explanation or story. Imagine staying up for 46 hours straight and then trying to take a test in Latin. That's what following this mess of a story. Save yourself the trouble and just avoid it.

I don't know what to say, everything is lame in this anime, we don't care about characters, fight are during 30 secs, lame plot, lame story itself, I struglled to finish the anime. There is nothing to remember positively about this anime. Of all Fate adaptation, it's really the worst

This series is so bad compared to Stay Night and Zero.
The animation is rubbish with characters monologuing for 30 seconds with nothing animated but their mouth.
The 2 main characters are a mopey guy mumbling about his anger and an obnoxious girl yelling stupid monologues about how great she is and how she loves and trust the guy she met 5 minutes ago. Her english voice is awful and she won't stop talking.
Character design is bland and I couldn't get over saver's buttcrack always showing.
I could go on about everything I didn't like but just trust me and don't waste your time.

Waking up in a strange virtual world with no recollection of the past, Hakuno finds himself forced to fight for survival in a war he does not understand for a prize beyond value; the opportunity to have one's wish granted. With only an enigmatic "Servant" by his side, Hakuno Kishinami will have to face both friends and foes in battles to the death in order to not only gain possession of a mysterious object known as the "Holy Grail," but also to find the answer to the most important question of all: "Who am I?"
The animation was atrocious.
The dub was good enough.
The story was a chore to watch.
Everything wrong.

Studio Shaft of Bakemonogatari fame try their hand at the Fate series. Like everything Fate, the story is a mess and explores a bunch of needlessly complicated ideas that really aren't that interesting. Like everything Shaft puts out, the animation is quirky and beautiful, and the cinematography is fun and interesting. This show is not for everyone. If you like you like the Fate series, you should give it a shot. If you like studio Shaft, you should give it a shot. If you like both, this is a must watch. Oh, and the voice acting is great.

This show is absolute trash. Animation sucks, voice acting sucks and the story is impossible to follow and needlessly complicated. I would highly reccomend forgetting this one even exists at all. Not worth the time it takes to watch it.
What people say about this anime doesn't make sense. They're just trolling this beautiful anime because it's something they aren't trying to understand. This is such a good show with so many emotional beats. It is probably the most confusing Fate installment, having a premise that is so drastically different from its predecessors. However, when you get past that, its actually very enjoyable. Also, as a philosophy nerd, this anime is similar to Fate Zero on the philosophical execution. Fans of studio Shaft's other works like Madoka and Monogatari will really enjoy this one, it's a new take on Fate and it really hits all the right feels!

I didn't find out until around episode 8, but most of the episodes of short clips after the credits that are often very crucial to the story line. I do agree that this stretches really far from the original story line but I still found it very enjoyable.
