Canon City is pronounced as Canyon City not Cannon City as all the characters do in this movie.

When Danny leaves his dinosaur behind in the banquet hall it is nighttime, his mom just checked in and the party was at night. Any parent knows a child who is that attached to a stuffed animal would never go to sleep at night without it so they should have known that night that he left it behind downstairs and his mom could have gone down to get it or at least looked for it in the morning before they checked out. It's not believable that they didn't know it was missing until they left the hotel.
