The characters' names pays homage to Italian band Goblin, composers of several scores of classic Giallo films and also to master Giallo Italian film directors such as Dario Argento and Lamberto Bava (e. g., Dario Simonetti, Lamberto Morante).
The film's score was based and emulates the style and atmospheres of classic Giallo films composed by Goblin and the musical works of John Carpenter.
Mexican film director and screenwriter Laurette Flores Bornn helped Leopoldo Laborde as script doctor as a personal favor, advising him about how to approach the story from the film's female protagonist perspective.
