Rumba Love is the story of a musician dealing with grief, disappointments, and complicated relationships after he is deceived into giving up his life in Havana for a shot in New York City. It is the emotional and transformative journey of Nicholas Quevedo, beautifully played by film maker Guillermo Ivan, as he navigates a new world where he finds himself penniless and homeless, but never hopeless as he still has his music and faith in his dreams. While the music plays a big role, the film is equally engaging visually in its scenes of both Havana and NYC. The film also feature an excellent cast including Zair Montes, Ed Trucco, Ilean Almaguer, and brief appearances by Cuban musicians and siblings Camilo Miranda and Gabby Miranda.
