The first official poster for Warner Bros.' animated The Lord of the Rings prequel film, The War of the Rohirrim, has been released.
The artwork features the king's daughter, Hera, standing ready to defend her home from ruthless invaders, with her father, King Helm Hammerhand, and the villainous Wulf in the background.
The Middle Earth adventure, which is set almost 200 years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien's classic trilogy, follows the mighty first King of Rohan as he mounts a defence of the fortress of Hornburg (which came to be known as Helm's Deep) from a relentless siege.

Ewan Mitchell may have gained traction for his role in the British medieval drama, The Last Kingdom, but House of the Dragon unequivocally propelled him to the pinnacle of stardom. This is Aemond the Kinslayer we’re talking about, after all.

Riveting as his performance as the Prince of the Targaryen dynasty may have been, however, Mitchell nearly gave his mother a metaphorical heart attack thanks to the latest HotD season.
Spoiler Alert !!!Spoilers for HotD S2, E3, tread carefully! Ewan Mitchell’s Mom Was Horrified While Watching HotD 2
Game of Thrones is nothing if not a goldmine of cynicism and obscenity, and honestly, that’s part of its allure. It makes perfect sense then, why its fabled successor, House of the Dragon, would be just as bleak and salacious, if not more. If only Ewan Mitchell‘s mother knew that.

King Theoden channelled his mighty ancestor before leading the Rohirrim into battle in The Two Towers, and New Line and Warner Bros.' upcoming animated prequel film will explain how the first king of Rohan became such a revered - and feared - warrior.
20 minutes of footage from The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim was screened during the Annecy Animation Festival on Tuesday, and while that preview has not been released online, the response on social media was very postive indeed.
A trailer will likely be released fairly soon, but for now, we have a first official look at the anime-style feature film thanks to some promo images.
The stills come via EW and People, and reveal the character designs for Helm Hammerhand, Héra, Haleth, Hama, and the villainous Wulf.

One of the show’s biggest wins was “Higher” claiming Album of the Year. The record faced off against Morgan Wallen’s ginormous hit “One Thing at a Time,” the follow-up to his also-huge “Dangerous: The Double Album.” Wallen looked like a strong contender, not only due to his commercial numbers, but because “Dangerous” had previously taken the award home, which was significant considering that it came amidst Morgan’s industry backlash for using a racial slur. My first concert ever was Sarah McLachlan at Radio City Music Hall in 1995. The Canadian singer-songwriter was on tour in support of her U.S. breakthrough, Fumbling Towards Ecstasy, and had enlisted a then-unknown artist, Paula Cole, as the opening act despite protests from tour promoters, who claimed nobody would pay to see two women.
Of course, they were mistaken, and a few years later, McLachlan helped reimagine the touring music festival with the all-female Lilith Fair. She continues her mission to share the spotlight with other female artists on her latest trek, in celebration of Fumbling Towards Ecstasy’s 30th anniversary, with fellow Canadian Leslie Feist warming up the audience at the Hollywood Bowl last night as the marine layer rolled in and the temperature dropped.
After opening with a mini-set of popular hits and fan favorites from subsequent releases, McLachlan launched into a track-by-track performance of Fumbling Towards Ecstasy.

Last August, developers Fallen Leaf and Black Drakkar Games teamed up with publisher Dear Villagers to bring the world a sci-fi horror video game called Fort Solis, which was directed by James Tinsdale and featured performances from Roger Clark (Red Dead Redemption 2), Julia Brown (World on Fire) and Troy Baker (The Last of Us). Now Fallen Leaf and Black Drakkar have signed a deal with Studios Extraordinaires to develop film and TV adaptations, with the directing duo of André Hedetoft and Andreas Troedsson set to take the helm of the Fort Solis movie!
Hedetoft told IGN they were drawn to the material because “You get a super cinematic immersive experience when you play it, you have amazing characters and actors that brought them to life in the game, and you have some really creative people behind it, and I think that’s exactly the kind of dream project to do.

The end of Masters of the Air leaves audiences craving more WWII dramas. World on Fire and Land Girls focus on unique WWII perspectives like civilians and women. Unbroken and The Tuskegee Airmen are fitting follow-ups to Masters of the Air due to their shared storylines and content.
Apple TV+ has finished releasing episodes of its war drama, Masters of the Air, leaving audiences with a new itch for World War II dramas, and luckily, there are plenty of great movies and television series that fit the bill. Notably, Masters of the Air is a miniseries that is part of a larger franchise of war dramas created by Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, and Gary Goetzman. This means that Masters of the Air fans will not only be able to find similar content to watch, but television shows that are directly related in quality, appearance, and story.

Dolly Parton is celebrating her birthday Friday, January 19th, with a new deluxe edition of her November album Rockstar that includes fresh tracks.
“It’s my Birthday so I’m going to give you a present!” our November cover star wrote on Twitter. “I’m releasing four never released songs for my birthday, to go with the Rockstar album, and a few others that you may have heard before that were not on the album. I hope you enjoy them, and I hope you all have a happy birthday for me! Lol.”
Rockstar primarily comprised Parton’s renditions of rock classics like “Magic Man,” “Purple Rain,” “Stairway to Heaven,” and many more, plus a who’s-who of guest features. The deluxe edition of Rockstar continues the fun with originals “Mama Never Said” and a live version of “Rockin’ It,” plus the Sylvester Stallone-featuring “Stay Out of My Bedroom,” lifted...

Dolly Parton isn’t done rocking yet. After sharing her new album Rockstar last week, our November cover star has returned with two new bonus tracks: Her rendition of the Eddie Money’s “Two Tickets to Paradise,” plus a new version of her classic “Jolene” featuring Måneskin.
The Måneskin-assisted version of “Jolene” is available exclusively with the digital download version of Rockstar on Parton’s website, though the country icon did share a preview of the duet on Instagram. It sounds like the new recording stays fairly faithful to the original, with Måneskin’s Damiano David taking on co-lead vocals with Parton.
“Jolene” appears on the deluxe edition of Rockstar, which also features guest features from Sting, Steve Perry, Joan Jett, Mick Fleetwood, Pat Benatar, Brandi Carlile, and many, many more. See a preview clip of Måneskin’s take on “Jolene” below.

Rockstar, the star-studded rock’n’roll album by our November cover star, Dolly Parton, has arrived. Stream it below.
Inspired by her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022, Rockstar is the 49th full-length release from Parton, and features a variety of new originals and classic rock covers, as well as a heap of guest appearances by artists like Paul McCartney, Elton John, Stevie Nicks, Ringo Starr, Miley Cyrus, Chris Stapleton, Debbie Harry, Nikki Sixx, and many more.
Speaking with Paramore’s Hayley Williams for Consequence’s most recent cover story, Parton explained that when she found out she was voted into the Rock Hall, she “didn’t feel like [she’d] earned it.” To make up for that, she got into the studio and cut a proper rock album, without cutting any corners. “That was important to me: not to half-ass do a record that’s a country girl singing some rock,...
