This series took me by surprise and a lot of factors contributed to that.
Very talented acting and especially with the two young main characters. Next to that original filming like Flemish TV hasn't really seen before or even on an international scale! The cinematography succeeds in taking us closer to the characters and the story with original perspectives and filming techniques and you can take that quite literally.
But above all, the story grabs you by the throat, to say it harsh. This series contains only 8 episodes and it feels like a real rollercoaster ride. You constantly get swinged in every emotion, anger, denial, happiness, sadness, ... and so on.
Bravo to the writers for their fresh yet strong and emtional storyline, bravo to the director for making this into a briljant tv show, bravo to the DOP for the excellent cinematography, bravo to the other crewmembers, bravo to the talented cast!

Incredibly talented young actors. The series encites a rollercoaster of emotions and makes you want to watch it over and over! If I could give it 11/10, I definitely would.
Just watched the final episode of this original Flemish TV series. Having seen all eight episodes I should say my wife were really touched. In one word: Superb!! The Dutch title can be translated as "Sense of tumor". A series about a young med student battling cancer is not an easy thing. It could easily have become a sort of tear-jurker. But with an excellent story line, a real sense of humour and a great cast it's worthy of an Emmy. (And it has a huge educational and support value as well, connecting with real-life cancer patients).

As someone who got diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer at age 21 this sure hit home. Both through great acting, editing and cinematography this gives a rather realistic perspective as to what it is actually like to live through such a situation.

Amazing acting, very well done. I cried a lot during this series, because this series shows how it goes when someone has cancer. An illness like this takes you life away. It is so sad. This is one of the best series ever made. A must watch!
