It is a comedy about cynicism, chance and the sheer madness of getting back up again.
Set in London each short follows a different open mic comic as they suffer a painful education whilst inflicting real suffering on the audience. It's funny just unfortunately not when the aspiring comedians intend it to be.
Ep 1 'The Titanic'
Struggling with his attempts at stand up comedy Sam's set at an open mic night is turned upside down when his set is interrupted by his girlfriend getting into an argument with another audience member.
Ashamed and discouraged Sam is forced to look to his next audition for salvation. But when his pre-audition haircut takes a dramatic turn he is forced to question will there be ever be a pay off for all this bad luck? Or is he not as unlucky as he initially thought?
Ep2 'The Room'
After a painful and public bombing at an open mic Anna is disheartened to think the stand up comedy world might be a boys club. She tries to blame 'the room' for own short comings rather than acknowledge it might be her own inexperience.
She takes refuge in the hope that she might just be what's missing on the circuit. She tries to focus her energies on coming up with her own unique voice.
However the further she delves into the comedy world the more she is forced to confront the idea that she might not be the solution to the problem either...
