Only giving this 1 star for the effort and for any money put into this, but the movie overall was horrible and could barely finish it. Seems they tried to make a hip hop and country slasher film, but it failed.

Surprisingly, this isn't the worst movie I've watched this year (that accolade belongs to Human Zoo), but it's still absolutely terrible. The audio mix is atrocious from the get-go and doesn't get any better. Horrific acting, dialogue and flow. Just awful in every possible way. I'd give it a 0/10 if I could. Don't waste your time.

This film was outright terrible. Nothing about it was good enough for the 1 star I gave it... the film never comes together. Bad plot, no twist, no suspense, and no thrills. I gave it one star and that was accidentally... The film's genre was in competition with the stereotypes.

Simply not in tune what America really wants to watch. First off I gave it a 10 for not being shot on green screen submitting to being lazy. This production actually took some work and I totally appreciated being entertained during this pandemic.
In all honesty Im not too far from Hollywood (many films ) and this indie captivated my attention more than some productions labels spent millions on.
Funny Thrilling Themed Follows the standard format for those who have studied film.
Some of the tracks are not recognized by shazam thats the only feedback I have they should have considered making a soundtrack just for

I'm a 70's baby, so I love "B" movies. Loved the originality of the movie and the music. Cherika was my favorite and I just bought the soundtrack. I love Red Leather Jacket! I was pleasantly surprised that there wasn't a bunch of nudity, which is often over done in horror movies in my opinion.

I never write reviews. If I don't like something, I move on, but I can't this time. This was so bad.
There were two good actors in this entire film. TWO. There's like fifty people in this movie and only two of them were decent. Caleb and James made the movie TOLERABLE. Caleb's actor seemed to actually want to act and James' actor seemed to be professionally trained. But for everyone else? Where do I begin?
I cannot describe how irritating the rest of the acting was. The girl who plays Shelly is arguably the worst actress I have ever seen. It was like the casting director went down to their local supermarket and held up a sign asking for the most unqualified actors possible. But you know what? I don't think it's all the fault of the actors. The writing is absolutely atrocious. Nothing flows well together.
The movie looks like it was recorded on an iPhone.
And.. why is the poster for this movie CGI? Why not have the real actors pose for the movie cover? Why use a random CGI woman? What?
You don't connect with any of the characters. There is no backstory. There is nothing pulling me to ever rewatching this terrible movie.
Jimmy Tyson, please don't film anything else. Ever.

As a fan of horror b-movies set in the American South, I enjoyed Squatter and found it thoroughly entertaining. Nice production values, acting and story. The plot is reminiscent of a classic slasher from the 1980s. The soundtrack is top notch and I would especially recommend it to fans of southern rap/hip-hop music. Features all artists from Shreveport, Louisiana such as Romy Rome, Mack P, Shayliff, Lil Cee Cee, Dre Sanders, Blocc and Poetry. Please don't sleep on what could likely be a future cult classic from promising up and coming director Jimmy Tyson and his Stonerhouse Entertainment label.

I love B horror movies, and there definitely is a lot of killing in this film. However, the kills weren't over the top. Although the movie wasn't gory, it was surprisingly entertaining. I appreciate the fact that the movie wasn't loaded with sex or women running around naked. I loved the music and I look forward to getting the soundtrack.
