Moni and Camilo cannot stay overnight in the hospital with Cristóbal, so they decide to stay at a hotel. Since the hotel only has one room available, Moni and Camilo are forced to share a bed together.
Camilo finds an ultrasound photo and thinks he's about to become a father again. Diana is stunned by the sonogram and denies being pregnant, leaving their daughter Regina with no other option than to admit she is expecting a baby.
Mauricio makes Paloma believe he is interested in her jewelry as a way to ask her out. Mónica arrives at the same restaurant, which makes Mauricio uncomfortable because he's afraid she will report back to Camilo.
Camilo receives a surprise visit from his younger brother Adrián, who asks for his help finding a place to live. Camilo tells him about his numerous family problems and how badly he feels.
Camilo accepts Mónica's invitation to spend time relaxing at her apartment. While there, he encounters Rafael and things become awkward for the three of them.
Rafael fears that if Camilo is interested in Mónica, he will decide to live in the city and take charge of Media Link. The news disgusts Mauricio and a competition between them begins.
Ximena invites Rafael over with the hope of flirting with him, but Mónica interrupts their date and steals all the attention. Ximena becomes jealous of her best friend for having so much luck with attractive men.
Rafael kisses Mónica in front of Camilo to discourage him from getting emotionally involved with her. Diana finds out and asks Mónica to not deviate from her plan by pursuing Rafa.
Because he doesn't know how to handle the news of his mother's cancer diagnosis, Cristóbal takes refuge in alcohol and neglects his younger brother. Diana notices Nico's absence and finds him unconscious in the pool.
In the hopes of not suffering anymore, Mónica decides to resign as a secretary at Media Link. Camilo finds out about her plans and asks her to reconsider, otherwise he will be left all alone.
The Sarmiento family throws a surprise party to celebrate their parents' anniversary. Diana takes advantage of Mónica's invitation to the party and helps her get to know the family better.
Diana enters the hospital with Camilo and her children. Before heading into the operating room, she nearly breaks down in tears at the thought that something might go wrong.
Diana's surgery is successful and Mónica decides to back out of their agreement. Rafa tells Camilo that Moni has feelings for him and advises Camilo let her down gently.
Camilo thought that Diana's successful surgery would help heal their relationship, but things get even worse than they were before her cancer diagnosis. Camilo becomes frustrated that he can't come up with a solution to their problems.
Diana asks Laura to keep an eye on Mónica and she misinterprets Diana's intentions. .Laura insults Moni in her office and warns her to stay away from the Sarmiento family.
Regina decides to move in with the González family without her parents' permission. Camilo is furious when he finds out and leaves to get his daughter back.
Mónica puts everything in order at Media Link so she can leave the company with no strings attached. Camilo has one last chance to see her and Mónica kisses him to say goodbye.
Cristóbal sees Mónica kiss Camilo and believes his father is having an affair with her. Drunk and angry, Cristóbal shows up at Moni's house to confront her for destroying his family.
Camilo explains to Mónica the problems he has been having with Diana. Moni decides to help her boss yet again and offers to bring Cristóbal to the Sarmiento home.
While Diana refuses to accept that her son needs professional help for his alcoholism, Cristóbal is arrested for being drunk and belligerent in public.
Camilo is surprised to wake up and find that he had sex with Mónica while thinking she was Diana. The situation gets even more complicated when Eugenia unexpectedly shows up at the apartment.
Diana feels betrayed that Mónica and Camilo slept together and calls off their agreement. Moni takes Diana's actions as a threat and both declare war on each other.

Thanks to Ximena, Camilo locates Mónica. After offering a sincere apology, he asks her to return to Media Link - not as a secretary - but as a manager.
Diana takes the first step to reconciling with Camilo and asks him to come back home. Camilo accepts, but only with the promise that things will be different than they were in the past.
By accident, Adrián overhears Eugenia admit that Diana and Laura are adopted. He insists that they deserve to know the truth, but Eugenia vows to never let the secret get out.
Mauricio edits a sexual video of Paloma and blackmails her by threatening to release it. He gives Paloma 24 hours to convince Bárbara to forgive him and return to the Sarmiento family.
Mónica's return upsets Diana and she prohibits Camilo from hiring her as a manager. Camilo refuses to let Diana dictate hiring practices and assures her that Moni is a vital part of Media Link.
While Diana and Mónica argue, Rafael's mother Almudena appears at a Media link looking radiant. Camilo is shocked to see her, especially since she was his first real love.
Regina and Pablo take Manuel's car without considering the consequences. Manuel reports the theft to the police, who arrests the two. Will this be the end of the masked environmentalists?
Manuel tires of Margarita's behavior and asks her to see a psychologist about her obsession with Regina's baby. If she doesn't calm down, their marriage could be at risk.
Camilo discovers that Pablo used Media Link servers to do illicit things on behalf of protecting the environment. Regina pleads with her father to not send Pablo to jail.
Laura cannot forgive Eugenia for having lied to her about being adopted. Since they share no blood relation, Laura decides to cut Eugenia out of her life.
Almudena finds out about the agreement between Mónica and Diana after overhearing their conversations. With this knowledge, Almudena devises a plan to steal Camilo away for herself.
Manuel is fed up with his wife's attitude and decides to temporarily leave their house. Margarita goes to a psychiatrist and tries to coerce him into giving her proof that she is emotionally healthy.
Ximena ignores Mónica's warnings and falls for Mauricio's deception. Meanwhile, Armando talks with Moni about trying to find an opportunity with Ximena.
Paloma is tired of her parents' daily problems and decides she doesn't want to be with either of them. Laura and Patricio suffer for their decision about their daughter and try to find her.
