Mumbai, Oct 18 (Ians) Actor Nikhil Bhambri, who shot to fame with his role of Adhish in Puncch Beat, recently shot in Kolkata for a web series. He found it difficult as the focus was not just on acting but also on safety.

The actor was working on the show "Black Widows", which also stars Mona Singh, Shamita Shetty and Sharad Kelkar.

"Shooting in the pandemic is very difficult and it does take a toll on you mentally and physically, as your focus is not just on the art but also on keeping yourself safe," said Nikhil, adding that he is thankful to the crew for maintaining hygiene, social distancing and conducting regular testing all through the shoot.

"Everyone on the set was wearing a mask and oxygen, and temperature levels were checked daily before the start of shoot and also at the end. There was also an on-set doctor," he said.

Actress Harshita Gaur is all geared up for season two of crime thriller drama series "Mirzapur". She says its shooting is going on at a "crazy level".

She has been flying in and out of Mumbai for work commitments, so shooting for the web series hasn't been easy on her.

Meanwhile, her feature film "Falaknuma Das" in Telugu is out now.

"Shooting of 'Mirzapur 2' is going on at a crazy level, at least for me. I had a knee injury on sets, I have been travelling for work and then directly reaching sets of 'Mirzapur 2' (in Mumbai) to shoot," Harshita told the agency.

"Mirzapur", a hinterland story, was about a lawless land filled with action where the only rules were laid by Kaleen Bhaiya, played by actor Pankaj Tripathi.

"It was the first film that was offered to me.

Actor Samir Soni feels he has been pigeonholed into the role of an Nri in showbiz. He wants to ditch that image.

The actor has featured in "China Gate", "Baghban", "Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin", "Vivah", "Fashion" and "I Hate Luv Storys".

"Earlier, there were not many character roles and they were not given much importance. Over the years, that has changed. When I came into films, I was an Nri and so I was offered those kinds of roles or rather some negative characters as I played in 'Fashion'," Samir said in a statement.

"As the format changed, character roles were given more importance. Now, I am trying to get rid of the Nri image," he said.
