Ed Helms revealed during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live that during the making of this film his publicist called and said there were rumors floating around that Helms was having an affair with co-star Demi Moore and the publicist wanted to know if that was true. Helms denied it saying he was a happily married man. After the call, he began freaking out a bit realizing he needed to let his wife know. But when he told her and his mother about the story, they just laughed and said "Demi Moore, high five!" They thought it was hilarious that anyone would think he and Moore would be a couple.
Demi Moore took over the role from Sharon Stone, who was originally set to star but had to exit due to scheduling conflicts.
