Pikovaya dama. Zazerkalye is a decent Russian flick, amazing locations inside the boarding school and outside between a beautiful but mysterious forest and a lake. The cast was just ok, the score is weak and the script sometimes is stranger and illogical, but the film is funny with a creepy cinematography. Watch it if you are looking for a teen horror film.
Depends on ones mood and taste if you like this type of movie. But of course there were many flaws and stupid things. Still I kind of enjoyed watching it home being ill, laying in bed at night in the dark. It wasn't scary at all but there were some great ideas here and there that could have been made better. The acting, the plot, etc etc everything was descent but enjoyable.

Its "terror" resides in soundtrack, places, and visuals that do not make it. It is very similar to a 2000 movie in that its fun is in the nonsense of teenagers with urban legends.
The movie was so not scary like the jump scares were so basic and I advise you to watch the Russian version and just enable subtitles

What a joke of a movie. I can't say the actors were bad but the people speaking and moving on the screen were terrible at trying to act. This is someone's attempt at filming something interesting and it did not work at all.

I'm referring to the english title of the movie. And while this can be considered a sequel by some, it is more of a spiritual nature, rather than a direct one (if you'll excuse the pun). Having said so, we have a lot of cliches, like in the first movie and like in the US movies this clearly has taken as a blueprint.
But it also is more of a close enviroment kind of thing, where you get more information about the characters you are supposed to care about. This is why I think this is slightly better than the first output. It is not perfect, by any stretch of the imagination. It is not bad either though, even with all the flaws and character flaws ... if you are a fan of horror those (likely) won't matter to you anyway.

My first time going to a cinema watching a horror film where the crowds was just silent it felt like everyone was asleep. A quarter left half way through the movie. How this movie got above 3 stars rating blows my mind.

Once again starting with the sequel, but fortunately I found the predecessor, which has little to do with this one, only the Lady of the Mirror is a remnant, the stories are independent of each other, here more interesting than the previous one, a more adolescent tone, dark boarding school atmosphere, interesting deaths, nothing very innovative, but a taste of carnival entertainment... Enjoying Russian horror films...
The sinister ghost of the Queen of Spades is once again thirsty for blood, and this time, her victims are the students of the boarding school located in an old mansion, shrouded in dark rumors. Amusing themselves with the horror stories about the murders of children in this house in the 19th century, the teenagers find a mirror covered in mysterious drawings in the abandoned wing of the building. For fun, they begin a mystical ritual, seeking to summon the spirit of the Queen to fulfill their wishes, without knowing that their own souls will be the price to pay for each whim.

I've seen more than 5.000 movies in my life, and this one deserves a spot on the Top 10 WORST. Everything was so ludicrous and cliché that people were laughing after the session. And to make things worst, the film was very poorly dubbed in english (at least here in Brazil), with no lip sync at all and any "acting" effort, like someone was just reading the lines from a piece of paper and trying to keep up with the original actor's lines. What a mess...
Why are horror movies getting worse? Are the writers not intelligent enough to write a plot & scenarios that meet up at the end!
