Truth be told as I sit here I'm quite surprised the movie managed a 3/10 it was heading for a 1 until about 3/4 of the way through.
This Netherlands made student film was never meant for greatness, in fact until today it wasn't even on IMDB.
It tells the story of a young girl in the days leading up to her marriage, but in the buildup things aren't going all too well. A supernatural thriller more than a horror Nefarious is incredibly boring, unforgivably so and doesn't take the reigns until the last quarter at best.
A lot can be forgiven as it is a student film, but clearly they have a lot to learn. Don't get me wrong it's made competently enough, cinematography is considerably better than most of it's ilk, it's score is sound and the plot is okay.
The trouble is that it's pace is ghastly, the acting ranges from mediocre to embarassing and nothing flows.
The Good:
"Demon bride" appearance is actually quite good
Comes together in the end, to a degree
The Bad:
Some of the acting cut me to my core, so bad
Plot is a mess
Outstandingly boring
Things I Learnt From This Movie:
Student films don't need to look like they were filmed on something you'd watch on a VHS
