One of the film's producers, Barry Morrow, is the Oscar-winning writer of Rain Man (1988). He became interested in Moe Norman after a Golf Digest article referred to Norman as the "Rain Man of Golf." Morrow then wrote a screenplay about Norman, entitled Moe, which is in development.
