Gave me Akira vibes! The CGI style really lends itself to the cyberpunk subject matter. MAX BEYOND has a cool look to it- it's 3d but has a cell-drawn blend to the look that reminds me of anime. The action has cool camera moves- some scenes remind me of the matrix sequel's car chase. I also like it when guys with guns face off against a sword-wielding adversaries. I wasn't expecting the animation style to be able to achieve the emotional range in the story but that's also because the voice acting is really well done. I heard that this movie was made using software that's used in games but i've never seen a film of this scope done that way. Cool stuff!

Watching "Max Beyond" was amazing! The movie really stood out for its use of Unreal Engine. The visuals are stunning and create immersive worlds that pull you right in. The film takes a lot of creative risks, and it pays off big time, making it feel fresh and exciting compared to other stories that often fail to innovate. The plot is full of jaw-dropping twists and turns, keeping you hooked all the way through.
"Max Beyond" is a game-changer, combining top-notch technology with a mind-blowing story for an unforgettable experience. It's a must-watch for anyone who loves innovative filmmaking and thrilling stories.

First off, the story is great! An ex-soldier suffering with PTSD tries tirelessly to free his younger brother from a corporate evil, who want to harness his dimension jumping abilities, what a perfect setup for a science fiction film! The science gives way to a great amount of action, and the action is so well done! Great performances from some famous names, spectacular animation work, and all put together with a game engine. Everything from the animation to the art design seems to have been meticulously crafted by a clearly dedicated team. Highly recommend to give this a watch, especially if you like indie sci-fi flicks.

Max Beyond has such an interesting concept that you really empathize with the characters throughout the story. Its action packed, visually pleasing and overall a beautiful story. The team has clearly put in a lot of love and effort into the creation of this film and you can see the directors signature look throughout. If you're big into Sci Fi movies and video games overall, I would highly recommend adding Max Beyond to your watchlist. Its surprising all this was made through a game engine with a team that has worked with both movies and games. I think that is what gives Max Beyond its unique edge in the film industry, as you can see the game development style mixed with movie making!
Max Beyond is at its core a story about family, and the lengths we will go to to protect the ones we love. We follow the story of Max, an eight year old with the power to travel across dimensions and the complications that come with possessing such a powerful ability.
The animation often leaves a lot to be desired but the script and voice talent more than make up for its shortcomings. The action sequences are excellent and you can clearly see the video game inspirations. Especially as it seems to have been produced in conjunction to a video game.
Whilst the bloody nature and more adult themes are cool, I feel like this movie could've worked really well as a family movie too. Given the heart of the film and the age of the protagonist, its a shame that the violent content might prevent younger audiences from enjoying this.
Overall, Max beyond is an action packed thrill ride through and through, and I would recommend it to anyone who's a fan of sci-fi animation.
