First let me say you can ignore all of the negative reviews because they're obviously left by people who are too cowardly to come right out and say, "I don't like it when people make me question my faith."
Yes, it's a slow-paced show, but that's because he's taking his time to demonstrate each point he has to make.
Derren's specialty is making you think. If you're not comfortable with that concept, none of his shows are for you.

Having recently discovered Darren brown, I enjoyed the show. This is one of the first magic shows I have ever watched.
We all know magic is an illusion. We all are tempted to outsmart the magician and have an answer to how it happened.
For me it's less about the magic, it's obviously intriguing and entertaining but it's more about DARREN BROWN THE PERSONALITY. How well he articulates, how he thinks, The voice, the words makes sense (to me).
Perhaps, for the people who wrote a negative review, the show seemed repetitive which is the case most of the times as you have higher expectations from the man having known him before.

Illusionist Derren Brown reinvents the concept of "faith healing" through a series of skills that demystify the boundaries of fear, pain and disbelief. Illusionist Derren Brown creates daring social experiments to demonstrate how manipulation can lead a normal person to commit shocking acts.
I am very intrigued by this documentary and this illusionist, he said a very interesting phrase, advice from the Roman philosopher Epictetus, we only have control over two things our actions and our thoughts... I was left with a post-documentary hybrid feeling, between disbelief and faith... I know the power of mental capacity, but I'm quite absurd for him to "guess" what people will think...

I am not Christian and I think most reviewers are biased. The man helped me get rid of so many superstitions added to my religion Islam. He revealed the tricks that the so-called healers use to rip people off. The message is loud and clear: Go seek a doctor if you are sick . Choose to believe in a God or not is your own choice . Leave the miracles out of it. I loved the show a lot and I strongly recommend it for the open-minded people. For those who chose to put their heads in the ground and accepted religion as the answer for everything, this show will not make them at ease.

I've seen all of his shows, but in this one he seemed a bit out of ideas. The tricks were mostly simple and easy to decipher. Most of the time he'll be building up and building up and... building up, just to show a disappointing finale.
Maybe I expected more from him, but I really didn't enjoy anything from this show. It was basically him trying really hard to get everyone in the same state of mind, just to show of some lazy simple street-art trick.
I rate this a 2 / 10 just for his effort / energy.

I enjoy most magic shows/ films, but, Derren seemed to just stretch very basic tricks into 10-20 minute presentations.
The way he presented himself on stage and how he treated the audience was extremely annoying, also.
I'd give this one a miss.

7/16/18. Not that entertaining, and nothing really new. Brown was actually pretty annoying throughout. Why would people pay to watch this?

In this very staged "live" performance, Derren Brown claims to be a skeptic, bad-mouths faith healing, rattles off what I assume are jokes, and performs what actually amounts to faith healing himself. I really hope the people he "healed" were plants because if they were credulous audience members, he played a very mean trick on them in convincing them that he had cured their ailments. Unfortunately, the tricks were old cliches, the humor fell flat, mostly because you couldn't keep up with the nonsense he was babbling, and the claim of skepticism was tainted by his "if you believe it, it's true" presentation. No. If it isn't true, it isn't true, no matter what you believe, and this hack is lying to you.
It was all fun and games until he dropped "cow" after clumsy when referring to one of the guest volunteers.

Very similar to his previous show on British TV. It even brings less to the table with its short playtime. You can savely skip this if you have seen his earlier "miracle" shows.
Very disappointing. Have enjoyed his previous shows but all of his tricks here built up to an anti-climax. The opening 5 minutes showed great promise but then it lost its way.
