Kellie's accent was the only real one in the movie. She may not become a great actress, but she is fearless and looks great.
The story is weak and it follows the standard Hallmark formula.
Hallmark's laughing all the way to the bank on this one. This was Hallmark's highest rated movie of 2018.

Sorry to hear such negative comments. To me Kellie Pickles is an authentic southern charm girl. Maybe her acting isn't as good as her singing, but she has a bubbly personality and to me she is fits the role in Memphis!

Don't understand the negative reviews. Did not expect an award winner but surely enjoyed the Christmas movie. Cute and fun!

I really enjoy the Hallmark X-mas movies, except for the abrupt endings - I wish they would leave out some of the non important parts out and explain some of the more important parts and slow down the endings.... but that's just my 2 cents...
Kellie's singing was way over the top and just bad.. and no acting skills.. why do most singers think that they can act ??
There are plenty of good female actors that can also sing so use them...geez..
Nooooo Hallmark!! Why???? I was so bored with this entire movie. No chemistry between the actors whatsoever. I had this movie recorded with high hopes of it being good. When I played it back it took me 4 hrs to get through it due to me pausing it and finding other things to do. Kellie needs to stick to what shes good at and its not acting in Hallmark movies. Coming from someone who watches (and loves) every single movie Hallmark Christmas has to offer I can honestly say that this one is the only one I will never watch again. This is the only one I DON'T like. Dear Hallmark, please stick to casting actors and leave the pop/country singers alone.
Okay, I understand Kellie Pickler is not everyone's cup of tea. Her acting is not great, but it is not that bad. Watch an early John Wayne movie. Acting is a craft that must be honed by practice. Criticizing her singing is just mean. And as for her accent, she is a native of North Carolina. Her accent is genuine. I certainly hope it is not required to have a mid-west accent to get ahead in Chicago, as one person suggested. I suspect there is some regional prejudice in several of these critiques. If you like feel-good Hallmark movies, this one is typical and is certainly worth watching. I agree that Wes Brown is the best part of the movie.

Wes Brown was the only bright spot to this movie. Kellie Pickler is an awful actress. She sang the sang song (silent night) 5x, and didn't have a great storyline. I suggest finding something else.
I don't know what people were thinking saying Kelly Pickler was horrible and making fun of her southern accent. She is from the south! I thought she and Wes Brown were just adorable together, Not to mention their singing was fantastic! I guess to each his own. For me I loved it!

I knew it wasn't going to be an emmy winner but it was decent. I love kellie pickler as a singer and tried to like her in this but i couldn't. Its not easy making the transition from singer to actress and she definitely needs more experience and training. It would have been a better movie if someone else played her part. Its a feel good Christmas movie but couldn't deal with the bad acting.

I love hallmark movies, especially at Christmas, but this one was by far the most painful and horrible to watch. Her acting skills were terrible. I think the movie would have been the typical cute hallmark movie if they would have had a different lead actress.

I cannot believe people are making fun of Kellie's accent. That is the way Southerners talk, people!! This makes the story more believable. Nothing wrong with her acting, either. It was very realistic and true to form for a Southern woman. I am very happy that Hallmark made a movie with a location in the south, instead of the same old New York settings.

I was kind of shocked at the bad reviews for this movie when I went to look up who Wes Brown was and why I'd never seen him before. What a guy, loved him. The snow in Memphis was completely unbelievable, I don't know why they couldn't just do a true Christmas in the south - it can be hot! Come on Hallmark, it doesn't have to have snow to be Christmas. Kellie did fine, was she the best? Nope, not by a long shot. But she was good enough and this was an enjoyable movie. I had fun.

I did not care for Kellie Pickler'ss acting, if you can call it that. Her twang was the most annoying sound in the world. If they can get Daniel Lissing to do a believable American accent, why couldn't they tone down Kellie's twang?
I passed up the evening when this first premiered but thought I would give it chance when it was on again. Painful. Just painful to watch and listen to Kellie Pickler talk, sing, "act" ... just painful. I couldn't even watch the whole movie. I feel sorry for Wes Brown (other lead actor) - his talent was wasted on this disappointment.

Great storyline like other Hallmark Christmas movies and why we are all watching. For the last 2 years, whoever is making casting decisions has had a big Fail... Casting a country singer, with No talent, in a lead role is a perfect example.. First, the premise that she is an Executive from Chicago..with a twangy Deep south accent is no way believable.. while she may be from N. Carolina. that accent is not N. Carolina.. I know.. having spent my first 18 years there. It seems fake.. Either way. voice and diction classes ...are available to most actors. This is the basic....someone who is believable and has acting skills...Ms. Pickler has neither....what is scarier. is I just saw today that she has been cast for 2019 Christmas movie in role set. in Utah.. Has Hallmark lost all reason???singing is not acting and she is marginal there too.

I have no quarrel with the plot. It's typical Hallmark, and you know within 5 minutes how it will end. However, the acting of Kellie Pickler was pathetic. I read somewhere that she was offered the role without having to audition for it. Shame on you, Hallmark! In addition to not being able to act, she was woefully miscast. With her country girl twang, it was hard to believe that her character was in line for a vice presidency at her company. Instead put her in a rural or country setting, and capitalize on her wacky sense of humor instead of making her an ambitious big city executive.
I think it was a cute movie, but I'm really sorry to say that it would have been much better with a different actress other than Kellie Pickler. She has an amazing singing voice, but isn't ready to be staring in any movie. She really needs to work on her acting skills. I love Wes Brown though. He's a really good actor, nice looking and has a great voice too that I didn't realize until this movie.

I wasn't expecting Oscar worthy performances and it was still disappointing! I'm sure there is an audience somewhere for Kellie Pickler, but it's not for acting. And isn't she in her early 30? They made her look like she was 50! Her love interest in the movie is adorable but for the first time, watching a Hallmark movie, I wished he had taken the job and moved away. I hope this movie is taken out of rotation and burned. I'm sure Elvis has rolled over in his grave.
I don't care what people write about this movie. I enjoyed it and I liked her singing. As for her acting for a first time, I think she needs to have chances again. I have always liked Wes Brown and have watched all of the movies on Hallmark that he has been in. Kudos to them.

The movie script was weak and Kellie Pickler can not act. The singing was bad also. Don't waste your time.

I'd watch anything with Wes Brown. He is so good to look at, dreamy, and he can act. Although these films are always predictable, which is why we like to watch them, this has the addition of music and also hearing Wes sing.
Southern twang is a little annoying, as working in Chicago it wouldn't be so strong.
I loved it and I'd watch it again, very soon.

Christmas at Graceland had a lot of potential to be a Christmas classic, but it fell short for me. Even after watching it the second time (I wanted to really like it), it just comes across as a fun little Christmas movie. Wes Brown is always enjoyable to watch, but I just didn't see chemistry between these two; it was fun and playful, but no real chemistry. Kellie's acting was better than I expected, being it her first starring role. There were some cheesy parts of her portrayal, but I found her character to be believable, sweet, and likable, for the most part. I don't understand why they had her voice overpower his voice in most of the scenes though. He has a very nice voice, and I actually enjoyed listening to him much more than I did her. It seems to me that her singing was much more twangy than normal, which was unnecessary because she already has that authentic sound to her voice. If they had allowed his voice to come out more and softened hers a bit, I think it would have been a really nice match. The performance at the end was certainly much better than that caroling song that was way over the top. I liked the movie, but I didn't love it. It had some fun characters (the little girl was sweet and adorable), but I think it had so much potential. I'm also curious as to why Wes didn't get a spot on the soundtrack. His voice is very inviting, nice to listen to, and and he has experience as a musician himself. Their performance at the end would have made a nice addition to the soundtrack. Without Wes as one of the leads, this probably would have have been a lower rating from me.

I couldn't even watch the whole movie. The accents, singing, and acting all horrible. If there was someone besides kellie pickler it would have been great. First hallmark movie I couldn't finish.
