Five factions run the underground life of Haldwell School, a prestigious east coast boarding school. At the head of the most powerful faction--The Spades--sits Selah Summers (Lovie Simone). Both charming and callous, Selah walks the fine line between being feared and loved, often cutting loose whomever she deems a threat to her power. When Selah's best friend/right-hand Maxxie (Jharrel Jerome), becomes distracted by a new love, Selah takes on a protégée, Paloma (Celeste O'Connor). But as Paloma rises to prominence among the factions, Selah fears losing control. When tensions between the factions escalate, Selah's fears turn sinister and quickly devolve into something beyond her control.
