A film with a coming-of-age theme. The plot of the film follows Andrej as he makes a series of decisions and has to deal with the consequences on his own, the further the audience watches the more depressing it becomes. First of all, I really like Andrej's character, who is rebellious and disobedient on the surface, but vulnerable and gentle on the inside, which can be seen in the hamster he keeps and the money he returns to the family later on. And most of all, he can go out of his way to pay for the person he likes, showing that the whole character is silly and innocent.
In the Andrej's family, his mother is dominant and facetious, and his father is weak and incompetent, which leads Andrej to be very rebellious, and the consequence of rebellion is to be locked up in a juvenile detention centre. Entering the juvenile detention centre, he made the wrong friends and fell for the wrong person, which led to the brutal murder of his own hamster. The hamster can symbolise Andrej's spiritual support, and in the film, Andrej will often open his mobile phone album(only 3 photos total) to watch the hamster's photos when he is bored in the juvenile detention centre, and this is when a rare smile will appear on his face. The consequences of attending various parties lead to the revelation of his homosexuality, which in turn leads to a complete break with his mother. And by the end of the film, Andrej will pay for the fight with Zele (and even killings). And so the film goes on, allowing the audience to witness Andrej grow up through injury after injury, fall after fall, and betrayal after betrayal.
I must commend the lead actor, Matej Zemljic, for his portrayal of the character, especially the one tear drops out of his eye at the end when he answers a phone call from his family, which is so perfect, the tear falls without any grimace, but already shows that Andrej's inner defences have been completely shattered. I couldn't hold back the tears after seeing Andrej's pet killed because it was the only love left in his life. Just when he thought he still had family, it was gone. The whole thing was so depressing after watching the whole film. Cruelty is the true nature of the world, and it is only through the power of youth that a teenager is able to be reckless and confrontational, and in the process of confrontation, get hurt and grow up.
