The director declared during a workshop held at The Boovie Festival in 2023 that the scene at the beginning of the movie when Mircea promises his unborn child "I will always be there for you" is mirrored during the entire movie. Mircea fulfills his promise by being there for his elder child Cosmin who disappeared.
They bought snow from the parking lot of a shopping mall as there wasn't enough on the mountain to shoot.
