Well acted (though Garriga doesn’t quite make a coherent character out of Lauren, or create believable marital chemistry with Scott), this is a smooth movie that maybe should have been a little less tidy for maximum impact.

Director Henry Jacobson’s gory thriller is initially quite effective when it complements the lies families tell each other with arcs of jugular blood.

Bloodline is meant to work on viewers’ nerves. For the most part, it does.

A strong sense of style and a promising premise are undone in a film that never quite figures out how to write itself out of its corner.
