When Kate and Richard leave the base in Jamie's car they come to a junction where there is a signpost for London. The local road number starts with the digit 9. The film is set on a fictional military base in England and road numbers begin with the digits 1 to 6 in England and Wales.
Towards the end of the film, the Captain salutes the Col with the wrong hand.
In the early scene with the Brigadier, the Captain salutes as the Brig is leaving and he doesn't have a headdress - that's a no-no - should have just come to attention/braced.
