Local Seattle resident, actor Tom Skeritt, co-star, helped to get this film made in the Seattle Area, from local famed authors' book of the same name, East of the Mountains. Writer / Author David Guterson, also was tasked to help write and adapt his book into the screen play.
Some filming took part in the Seattle area. Picolinos Italian Restaurant, in Ballard, is one location of filming. It is one of many fine restaurants establishments in Seattle.
