A short movie about a vmapire and a mortal, this one had an interesting concept at least. Though it didn't have much time to progress, the romance seemed to have potential. However, it was rushed. The story overall was fast paced, as they tried to pack too many elements in one plot. The atmosphere, however, was nicely presented and the performances were good from every actor and actress and, especially, from the leading lady, who was adorable overall and her acting was just what this character needed, as she could have easily went overboard. So, my final rating is four out of ten.

It's a simple romantic-comedy-drama-fantasy movie. You have a beautiful vampire woman, a mortal young man, and the mortal young man's mortal mother, along with some mundane nuisances like trying to pay rent and earn a living. The humor was good, the romance was a bit underwhelming, but typical for a Korean drama. There were a few instances of fantasy elements peppered throughout the movie, which added essence to the movie itself. My complaint is it dragged at many points, even for a short movie (73 minutes). The movie wasn't amazing, but it wasn't bad either. Just above average. Also, there are two additional scenes during the credits.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this 2018 South Korean movie titled "Beautiful Vampire" from director Eunkyung Jung. But it being a South Korean movie was actually sufficient enough to make me want to watch it; and it happened to be a vampire movie too, so that was a plus.
So I sat down and watched the movie. And while the movie was watchable, it wasn't a particularly outstanding movie in the South Korean cinema. The storyline in the movie was just too linear and mundane. Essentially, it was just another romantic vampire movie; think in the lines of an Asian variation of "Twilight", except the roles are reversed.
The movie was actually quite nicely acted by the cast, and I was definitely impressed with the performance of Jung Yeon-joo (playing Ran). She really carried the movie with her performance; well, as was required because she was the one spending most time on the screen.
For a vampire movie, then "Beautiful Vampire" wasn't really a great movie. This is a movie that would appeal to late teens or young adults, I suppose - people that are just experiencing first love and such.
I must admit that the movie was a bit on the boring side for me. But I managed to sit through it to the end. However, I was only mildly entertained, because there wasn't actually a whole lot happening throughout the course of the story.
My rating of "Beautiful Vampire" is a mediocre five out of ten stars.

I liked it particularly because of the easy going nature of the movie. I didn't even realize that an hour was up. Reminds me of anime's belonging to slice of life genere.
