Clever, heartfelt storytelling. Anna Brewster is very talented in her portrayal of Ruby and you felt the journey she went on. The perfect short film, conveyed a lot in a small amount of time and was both happy and sad at the end that it was over. More please.

This short film is a timely piece that touches the heart and soul. The main actors (Reeves and Brewster) do an amazing job without saying single word. The director (Vlahos) gives our eyes a treat in all the meaning of the word.
This is a movie that should be watched by all. Bravo.

A really beautiful poignant story told in such a clever way, told with almost no dialogue but still able to deliver an emotional impact through the amazing performances from the cast. A brilliant impactful watch!

A little magic woven with few words. Beautifully nuanced performances from the whole cast and refreshingly naturalistic lighting, accentuating the realism (and glitter). If you want a heart rendering moment of escapism, this is for you.

WOW! Lola is an emotional and moving short film about acceptance. I was blown away by how so little dialogue could convey such a beautiful story.
Don't miss this - it is exceptional

Incredibly charged, emotional and profound story told with dark alleways and unspoken words. Astonishing attention to detail, making it work at the sensory level - through shapes, motions and colours (the pink comet on the grey cityscape is sensational). The tears of acceptance and the immediate relief they bring must be one of the finest sinematic climaxes. Awe inspiring performance. The whole thing invades you to such extent that towards the end you just feel it's been your own emotional rollercoaster, your personal journey...
I absolutely loved this short. True art. I could feel the emotions in each character. I actually had tears at the ending - it was so beautiful and moving. Bravo!

Honoured to be provided an opportunity to be amongst the first viewers! Such a unique movie, I can see all the great qualities that specify the talent of a producer that Alex is, being able to bring through the lenses of the camera the picture filled with huge amount of creativity and profound perception of spirituality of all the meaningful and beautiful things that exist in life of each of us!:)

Lola is a beautiful film about love and acceptance. The acting, writing, music & direction are excellent. Definitely a must watch!
A very beautiful message of love and acceptance portrayed so well by both Anna and Lewis. Director Alex Vlahos in his first directing role has stamped his name on this piece Love that Evan M Williams was the writer and singer of the main song Lola. All award well deserved cant wait to see what comes next Bravo Team Lola

The short film "Lola" skips the verbal dialogue but the actors Anna Brewster (Ruby) and Lewis Reeves (Paul) (also the writer of the screenplay) deliver all the emotion needed. Director Alex Vlahos uses the camera to add color and life (shot on film) to this poignant story about love and acceptance. Arinze Kene delivers the flamboyance and dignity we would expect of a drag queen.
There is a lot packed into these 17 minutes as you are taken along on the emotional journey of Ruby as she discovers why her partner, Paul, has become distant.
The film ends with the beautiful voice of Evan Williams whose song, "Lola" adds the sprinkles to this delicious cake.

This short film provides a voyeur's view into the slow reveal of a well-kept secret. Capturing the anticipation of one character, beside the anxiety of another, the film unveils a truth that is completely unexpected. Beautifully shot on film, this is 15 minutes that will soothe the soul of anyone who watches.

The acting in this short film is incredible and every element, from the music to the directing and set design work together to create a perfect ambiance, conveying just the right emotions.
The high tension in the beginning has the viewer hooked, anticipating what will happen next and we are not let down. The atmosphere in the second half of this short film is incredible, everything from the consume design to the choice of music and both Anna Brewster and Lewis Reeves do an great job in conveying so many words with only looks.
The love and acceptance is absolutely marveling... With the short time given, every frame spoke a thousand words and with interesting and intriguing shots, the directing felt natural. Overall, very thoughtful and beautiful executed without distracting from the story.
All in all, I adored every shot, every choice of style, cosmetics, cast member, etc. Big congratulations to Alexander Vlahos, Lewis Reeves, Anna Brewster and Arinze Kene for this amazing production. I've already rewatched it more times than considered healthy.
