In 1994, Mexican presidential candidate Luis Donaldo Colosio's assassination sends his dying widow racing to uncover who did it.

As an American, I had never heard about this story before. I found the story extremely intresting. I was flabbergasted at the level of corruption in Mexico. It seems as if Mexico has no rule of law. The writing was very good. The acting was top notch, especially Alberto Guerra. This show had me captivated the entire time, I was glued to my seat. After I finished this show I was sad because I knew there were no more episodes.

This series explores and exposes a dark chapter in Mexico&#39;s past. I had known of the assassination of Colosio and how it was done by the State. However, this series unmasks chilling details. If only this story was indicative if Mexico&#39;s past and not its present.

By far this is the best series from Netflix. Great actors and great adaptation of a lot o theories about this crime. 10/10

Mexico&#39;s answer to the JFK assassination was Presidential candidate Luis Donaldo Colosio&#39;s Murder, now turned into a short mini series by Netflix. While the acting and production is top notch, the series bring very little to the table that the majority of Mexicans don&#39;t know.
While it is widely believed that the mastermind was either then current President, Carlos Salinas de Gortari, or some other high ranking PRI official, &quot;Historia de un Crimen: COLOSIO&quot; downplays this in a very annoying way. The series main fault is that it shows very little interaction between Luis Donaldo and Carlos Salinas, perhaps to avoid fueling the popular belief that there was a major &quot;fall out&quot; between theses two politicians. It&#39;s within the 1st episode that Luis Donaldo gets assassinated, instead of exploring his relationship with Carlos Salinas. Most of the series centers on the aftermath and the officials trying to unveil the conspiracy behind the murder, to no avail. While the official version is that Mario Aburto (The Mexican Lee Harvey Oswald) was the lone assassin, extremely few people in Mexico actually believed that.<br/><br/>The series ends on a low note; Colosio&#39;s wife dies of cancer and the murder case is &quot;officially&quot; closed with extremely inconclusive evidence. If the USA can get away with killing their president, in Mexico one can very much improve upon this. In our case, the supposed assassin is still alive behind bars and denies that he was part of any sort of conspiracy.<br/><br/>The series makes for good, historical entertainment, but look elsewhere if you expect more Adrenalin paced stuff like &quot;Narcos&quot;.
