I watched the first two episodes of this six part drama. Absolutely brilliant, shocking in parts. The story also explores the divide between working class and middle class people, how lives can be altered by the actions of one person. The actress who played the main part is amazing both in her delivery and conviction of the part she is portraying. Amazing to see how this emerged from watching the filming to the actual screen. I'm really looking forward to the next two episodes. This is a true story that shocked people world wide then drifted into the background. Lucy's story is one that needs to be told and remembered.

Having both worked and seen the first 2 episodes I must what an honour and pleasure to work with all the cast and crew of Lucy Sands, the story can only bring me tears of sadness and pride, sadness because of happened to Lucy and pride as I was part of bringing her story to life again. May Lucy Sands story be spread high and wide throughout.
Anyone reading this please get to see it. A story that happened many years ago but very relevant to many stories nowadays.
I promise you suspence, laughter, joy and tears.
Have a good time watching it.
May Lucy Sands story come to light and have all the success it deserves.

The cinematography is excellent. I'm not usually one for period dramas, but this story had me completely intrigued. The settings are fantastic, and the acting from everyone is superb, and I think that most will go far in their careers. Steve Baldwin has created something very special by telling the story of Lucy Sands. I first learned of the Lucy Sands project a couple of years ago, and ever since then, I waited with baited breath, and all I can say is that the wait was well worth it. Would I watch this again if it eventually made it toTV? YES! Would I buy it on bluray? Hell, yes! Long story short, I loved what I have seen this far. Give it a try if you get the chance. You will not be disappointed.

As we are under attack from a troll living in the north of England.
We wish to point out that this person is a disgruntled ex employee!
They were removed from the production due to lies and trying to claim payment for work which was substandard!
We usually keep our drama to the screen, but as we are now having to field the trolls ridiculous statements - we will point out a few truths.
We've previously had to bring the police in to deal with this persons bouts of cyber bullying, and this is why they're on here as they've obviously had a visit from them!
The emails have stopped, the personal threats have ceased, sadly they believe that by using a pseudonym they are safe, but every communication is traceable from an iso!
So if this carries on we will report you again!
Your signature is clearly all over these rants and we will prosecute you for libel if they don't stop!
There will be no further warnings given!

I have now seen the first and second episode
This true tale hooks you in from the start .
The acting, the writing, the costumes and settings are fabulous
Through thorough research over many years. Locations have been found with true connections to the story.
Scenes shot in various locations from North to South West of the UK. Workington features heavily . Drawing many supporting artistes from the town.
Lucy's story has drawn a loyal following. Across a broad range of counties.
Can't wait to catch up on more episodes which are coming up at private showings at venues which have true relevance to the story.

A beautifully written, well acted and directed true story. So much hard work has gone into the making of The Ballad of Lucy Sands. There are loads of local volunteers who have been involved in the acting and production of this story it is an absolute credit to the memory of the young lady who sadly lost her life so many years ago. Her story deserved to be told and has been recreated perfectly by the writer, director, cast and production team. Lucy's death was a real tragedy and she would have been forgotten were it not for the efforts of everyone involved in the making of the Ballad of Lucy Sands their hard work and dedication has really paid off the film is amazing!

I saw Steve's story & was inspired to be part of this legacy back in 2019. I have now watched the first two episodes & I look forward to seeing two more in December. I sincerely hope this is snapped up & shown on TV very soon.
A Cumbrian tragedy & forgotten story, sympathetically portrayed to right a terrible wrong that should never have happened- the perpetrator never allowed to escape.
All the actors are fantastic, the filming & photography, breathtaking, the locations have been chosen with insight, care & empathy to represent the era, story & situations to the best advantage.
All involved are to be celebrated, make-up were outstanding as you will see when it is screened.
Not to be missed!
