Footage from Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Leonard Cohen (1965) was edited into the early part of Marianne & Leonard: Words of Love (2019), forming the depiction of the life of a young Leonard Cohen in Montreal. Sometimes both the images and the sound from the earlier film are used in the latter film; and sometimes only the images are used (with new narration added over those images).
