Goofs

When the spiral staircase opens in the floor it spirals down to the right. When they exit the stairs at the bottom, they are spiraled to the left.

At the end of the movie, Jenny Kord is seen driving a motorbike. The physique of person riding looks like a man but also the rider is wearing baggy pants but Jenny is later seen wearing extra tight pants.

Firefighters extinguish the fire in the Reyes house, but the scene is completely dry as they clean up and prepare to leave.

During the fight scenes near the end, when Milagro Reyes uses her shield to block the bullets from the security guards, she got shot once. It was never mentioned or anything after that, which is a little odd considering a bullet to the shoulder would cause a distinct level of pain for someone who has never been shot before.

Towards the end, Dr. Sanchez cracks the round window in the door. Later, when the camera pans back to the same window, it is not cracked until he again attacks the same window, cracking it for the second time, although it appears to the audience that it is being cracked for the first time.

Jaime says he doesn't want to be an "android" until he dies. An android is a robot who appears to be human (e.g. Data on Star Trek). Jaime would actually be considered a cyborg -- a human augmented with technology.

In his first sub-orbital trip, Jaime falls back too quickly towards the earth; it should be a much more smoother process/acceleration.

During Victoria Kord's party, the officer speaking with her has a beard, which are not allowed while on not field uniforms unless specifically authorized for religious reasons, like Sikh or Muslim, which clearly is not the case.

The Kord Industries receptionist refers to Jaime as "Jamie" after he tells her his name. While it is a common mistake to make in writing, it makes no sense when spoken, as the first consonant and vowel and last vowel of Jaime and Jamie sound nothing alike.

However, one character mispronouncing another character's name is not a plot hole, nor necessarily a goof. Perhaps the receptionist knows Jamie is the anglicized version of Jaime and insists on using that for whatever reason. Clearly, the purpose of the scene is to demonstrate the subtle racism of disregarding another's ethnicity.

Paramedics attempt to revive Jaime's dad using a defibrillator. Defibrillators don't restart a heart, they stop it. Using a defibrillator on a heart that is already stopped would have no effect.

This is not correct; defibrillators "defibrillate": they are devices that apply an electric charge or current to the heart to restore a normal rhythm. If the heart rhythm stops due to cardiac arrest, also known as sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), a defibrillator may help it start beating again.

In the bus scene, after the bus is cut in half both halves REMAIN UPRIGHT while the halves peel away in opposite directions. That is impossible on several fronts, chief among them is that the wheels are on the outside, so all the remaining mass is unsupported and would have instantly flipped the halves cut-side down (and given the passengers severe asphalt rash), and secondly is that inertia would also have done the exact same thing.

When launching the Bug ship, it requires the efforts of both Rudy (in the pilot's seat) and Jenny (in the passenger seat) to do so. Since Ted Kord worked alone as Blue Beetle, he would not have been able to launch the ship if it required two people.

When Jamie and Milagro are talking on the roof on the first night of returning to Edge Keys, when Jamie is taking a drink at the end of the scene, it's pretty obvious that there's no liquid in the container.

Jenny steals Dr. Sanchez's access card, then uses the card to enter the lab. A few minutes later, Dr. Sanchez re-enters the lab, which he shouldn't have been able to do without his access card.

The total absence of security around/in the room containing the invaluable scarab.

When Jaime is first experiencing the suit and the suit detects an approaching bus as a threat, it creates a shield that cuts the bus in half lengthwise. Afterward, the two completely separated halves of the bus are seen, but each remains standing. Each half should have fallen over since each half now only has one set of tires.

The island has no anti-aircraft defense system whatsoever. A bit odd for a weapons manufacturer's lair.

Milagro is a very resourceful young woman and yet she does not start CPR when her dad collapses, nor does she at least call 911.
